Think I'm up to date now. Liking S2 as much as S1.

Re S1 I think my favourite bit was Kieran losing it & letting the mask slip. Reckon we were about to find out that 'solutions consultant' was code for "hired killer".

Both Jaz and Mollie absolutely f*cked it. If Jaz had gone for Harry instead of Andrew in the penultimate banishment it would have been 2 votes each and could have ended up differently. Harry played a good game but he massively rode his luck right at the end.

Jazs reveal was so weak. He’s been sitting on that for ages and when he finally plucked up the courage to confront Harry, he shat out.

Mollie is thick as sh*t. She was literally told the full story but still let Harry off.

When it wasdown to 3, only Jas requested a banishment round. Surely Mollie would have wondered why when as a traitor he would have got all the money(assuming Harry wasn't one, which is what she thought. He had to be a faithful or be greedy and try to knock Harry out

I suppose we should prepare for a host of these contestants to start doing the rounds on the Z-list slebs circuit. Saw one on WILTY last night. Quite what the point of him being there among professional comedians was, I'm not sure. Cheap I suppose.

Once Evie was out, the whole “only a select few people knew Harry had a shield” was out of the window and that should have been part of Jaz’s case.

The one problem with the format is that because Traitors don’t actually have to do anything aside from avoid suspicion, there really isn’t anything to go on aside from personal dynamics - and the traitors already actively throw people off. So the traitors have to really f*** up to not win.

I reckon the format could be tweaked to allow more intrigue.

The vr werewolf game that put you in a lobby with people from around the world was really good, because you had these roles:
Generic villager (faithful equivalent)
Werewolves (Traitor)
Saint (if he or she can discreetly bow their head, the identity of one werewolf is revealed only to the saint)
The Gossip (is told the identity of two players, one is correct, one is 50/50 whether it’s correct or not)
The deviant (gets off on being hunted by the villagers, wins the game if people wrongly think he’s a werewolf)

The extra roles - and the motivation to reveal or not reveal what you know - allows for a much better round table, because it’s possible for one person to turn it round with a really good case, but it could be based on lies

And why didn’t they murder Harry the next night?

Literally no idea how they didn’t question that.

Molly is never trusting anyone again in her life.

Traitors has now got a two for two in f*cking with the heads of women with issues with their right hands

I think the servers are still going, but there’s not always enough people on to guarantee a game

It’s compulsive viewing in our house, we even caught up with the US and Oz versions too last year and plan to do the same this year (apparently a NZ version coming too). As with other series, it’s all about keeping one guessing, heightening the suspense, the ratings. I get that, but couple of things strike me …

1. How rare a banishment vote ends up tied, once I think this series, was mentioned in the vote off it would go to drawing lots if still tied, it didn’t. I’d have put money on Jaz voting Harry when just four left, which would have tied at 2-2, difficult to see a vote off changing that, but he went for Andrew.

2. And how often does a task end up with the clock ticking and them making it with about 5 seconds or less to spare, e.g. hoisting the mainsail final episode, after many detours to win more money.

Probability theory says this can’t keep happening. So I do wonder how much is manipulated to increase the entertainment & suspense, so am never quite sure how much is authentic.

Yeah there’s definitely a lot of editing to form narratives going on

I've never watched it, mainly because the trailers I've seen (and of course it even features heavily on the BBC news now) suggests its load of staged pap. Like most so-called "reality" shows I suppose

I think the faithfuls should concentrate in banishing poor players rather than look for a traitor. Traitors are normally replaced and they can concentrate on them later
