Re: What are you reading?
2022 highlight - A Gentleman in Moscow - lovely book
2023:
Bob Mortimer autobiography
The Tiger - John Valliant
Satsuma Complex (audio book)
I used to read a huge number of books each year - some good, some airport novels. Sadly nowadays my memory seems to be a bit hit and miss and I find it really difficult to hold a plot from one day to the next, so I find I read much less (or fewer!). I also tend to bingewatch for the same reason, there's no way I can hold a memory of a TV series from week to week so it's much easier to crash through 12 episodes in 3 or 4 nights.

Re: What are you reading?
Bob Mortimer’s definitely got a niche writing “books for people who read one book a year”

Re: What are you reading?
The Immortalization Commission by John Gray is a very intriguing book. Definitely worth a read if you haven’t done so already.

I really liked the audiobook of Satsuma, though it did leave me feeling that I hadn’t read it. I think that’s why I’ve struggled to read recently - I’ve got so into audiobooks that it became my default way to get books for a while

You say that but I dread when my kid picks out one of them. f*cking long winded and odd.

Re: What are you reading?
Ah, good morning you daft old sod. If I’ve offended you in any way I can only say it was probably intentional. Are you one of those people who can’t differentiate between anti semitism and opposition to the State of Israel? I can’t be asked to check tbh.FrankOFile wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 10:54 amI thought Mr Bigot was more up your street.

You haven’t answered my question about Schindler's Ark? Were you disappointed with the ending?

Re: What are you reading?
Look, I get you’re probably Jewish and pro-Israel but if you’re accusing me of being anti-Semitic then you can FRO. If you truly cannot understand the difference between opposition to Israel and antisemitism then you’re either thick as sh-it or a fanatical Zionist. Either way, I’m done engaging with you. Haha - it truly was. Difficult character to get right on the big screen though. The Mindsweep wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 12:44 pmI've read it before, but can't remember yet.
