Indeed and for that reason I’m not going. The EFL should put out an edict that Reading will forfeit 3 points if their fans stop the game.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 10:42 am If these fuckers try and stop the game, and their stewards don't step up, it's our duty to get them off the pitch and help us secure another 3 points.

I'd hate to win the points in such a fashion but yep, can't see what else the EFL can do.Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:51 amIndeed and for that reason I’m not going. There's a strong rumour we are getting yet another allocation.brentwoodo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 10:40 am FYI, Once again, Tickets for the Reading away fixture are showing as sold out on the website, that's over 1700 tickets sold already I believe.
I have contacted the club as I need to buy one myself, I've been told another allocation is being obtained and these should be available to purchase tomorrow. It looks like we'll be taking an absolute shedload of support to the game. UTO's

Just bumping this thread, as I've heard a rumour that we're to get a further allocation of tickets. Has anyone heard any more on this and know if it's true?

Re: Reading away tickets
Yes, i spoke to the lady works in the ticket office this morning and we are getting some more tickets either tomorrow or Wednesday.
If Wednesday and no time to post them out, they will arrange with Reading to be picked up at their ticket office on Saturday.

Re: Reading away tickets
I'm a season ticket holder, so just intrigued. I assume the Orient membership scheme doesn't involve different prices and that the non-member prices shown on the Orient website are irrelevant and everyone pays the same price ? Not sure Orient can have a say over the price of away tickets,Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 12:30 pm Hearing on the grapevine that more Reading tickets are coming our way, keep it to yourselves.

Re: Reading away tickets
I had assumed the SCH/Member prices listed were for home fans only.
They use this mechanism to stitch up away fans and charge them more.

Re: Reading away tickets
He better be on a wind up because there was no facility to obtain the 'SCH' price when booking online.....
Re: Reading away tickets
If you look up the Reading prices without logging in, an adult ticket is £28. When you log in via a season ticket account that changes to £25. So it automatically gives you the discount if you buy via your SCH account.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 3:13 pm He better be on a wind up because there was no facility to obtain the 'SCH' price when booking online.....

Re: Reading away tickets
What a joke. Presumably then the club are making a markup on away tickets as reading aint taking a hit for ST holders. Surely there’s rules against that?

Guaranteed to be called off Saturday nowOrient Punxx wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 5:47 pm https://efl.com/news/2024/january/23/ef ... eading-fc/
3 points suspended sentence.
Re: Reading away tickets
It's Reading's pricing structure, not ours. They fix the various prices for their away end, it's their decision to offer season ticket holders of other clubs a discount & they "take the hit".Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 4:41 pm What a joke. And, as with all away ticket sales, Orient get a small fixed percentage of the away ticket sales as a handing fee. Standard practice across the league.
In this case, Orient had to cater for 5 age bands, originally across two differently priced stands, with SCH & non SCH levels... 20 different options. Down to "only" 10 now there's only one stand left on sale.
If anything's a joke, it's the amount of admin Reading make other clubs do with their over-complicated away end pricing structure.

Thanks for the explanation. I know they are run by clowns by what are they getting out of offering season ticket holders for other clubs a cheaper ticket? Bizarre

Re: Reading away tickets
An interesting point of view in bearing in mind the winning momentum the team are currently on. However, as our supporters are making a great effort to support the team on Saturday, it's pleasing to see that the Reading protest groups have agreed not to try and get tonight's match versus Derby abandoned and on that basis, you'd like to think the same applies to our match on Saturday. Re: Reading away tickets
Ok, I just logged into check. As I've already bought tickets for all the season ticket holders linked to my account I can't check if the the discount is automatically applied once I allocate the ticket to someone with a ST. It's possible I misremembered that as I bought our tickets a month ago.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 7:42 pmNot true. But I can absolutely confirm that when I'm not logged in see 5 prices. And when I am logged in another 5, discounted, prices appear.
