Omygawd nailed the summing up exactly with this player; 'he flatters to deceive.' He LOOKS good at times, but rarely delivers.

Orient fans absolutely love a bit of revisionism when a player wants to leave the club.
Agree that he was wasted. We flogged him about in basically every position we could at points and he never let us down.

But he played for us in the NL and League Two and hadn’t set the world alight in league one, whilst being older. Wouldn’t mind him as a squad player but when everyone fit he’d be about 5th choice.

I don’t disagree. His pace and work rate is an asset.

Lots of effort and speed no end product

What is with Orient fans loving ex players that aren't good enough

Bonne - Couldn't find a club, 3 league goals for Gillingham in League Two
Jay Simpson - Awful second spell

I think he's very talented, just needs more end product.
Aged 29 he should have more than 10 league goals to show for over 300 league games. I'd like to know what talent he has, because speed is an ability. Cambridge wont be renewing his deal IMO.
Just signed a 2 year deal to stay at Cambridge.

The first two would do a better job upfront than Pigott did last season that's for sure

Clearly he is a good player as he was ever present last season, that is some feat in the modern game when nearly every player misses games through injury
So it is no surprise that he has signed for another 2 years

Why do people on here persist on asking other boarders if they would like them to take a player who once played for us to come back. I just don't get it.

Says a lot about Cambridge's ambition IMO - but I'm not sad we've missed out on him!!

The vast majority of footballers at L1 level are very one footed.

For some reason, it's only the left footed players that people notice.
