I also think that her and her cronies who didn't give a monkeys about the post masters/mistresses should also be stripped of their savings and assets to help pay the losses and suffering these poor people were made to and are still enduring, instead of the taxpayer, as well as Fujitsu who should also payback the money they got payed for such an absolute abject failure of a computer system.

Private cases bought by the Post Office against
the Post masters.
Only a Tiny number would of had anything to do
With the CPS .

This issue about a very large number of postmasters suddenly being accused of fraud/ dishonesty had been going on for many years but it was only the ITV dramatisation that showed events frrom the real lived perspective. Only now that real people can empathise is it becoming clear what monster had been created and determindly upheld by 'the system'. This sudden flood of promises from the politicians .... smacks of party political electioneering and posturing rather than genuine contrition and sense of shame.
But well done to Alan Bates for never giving up and ITV for the courage to inform and help me (and millions of others) to see and understand.

Also a lot of credit to the two journalists who have been running with this for best part of 20 years Nick Wallis and Rebecca Thomson. Their podcast and BBC Sounds series are well worth listening through, he's done a book on it too.

The thing that really stands out is Post Office knew in many cases there wasn't physically enough money at the branch in question to have stolen what they were accused of, yet still prosecuted without hesitation.
