This is fascinating. I'd like a look at their spreadsheet or to be in that Whatsapp group.

Interesting stuff, I like these written features, nice and quick to get through all the pertinent info. Out of interest do you use the same software to auto transcribe them?
So Brian Saah has moved over to scouting now, was wondering why we don't hear of him as much now. You kept well away from asking about *that* January window though eh
I do hope the club have solid backups of those databases in place...

I work with somebody whose ten year old nephew plays for Cheltenham Town's under-11 team. Even at this level there is a camera on him each game. When the game is over he has to attend an interview with a member of staff as his performance is reviewed. The lad is thinking of giving it up as he feels the pressure is getting to him
Enough of this. We should be encouraging young players to enjoy their game and just develop individual skills.

I use an online thing called Kensho to transcribe the interviews, though it only gets it maybe 70% right, so I have to go through and manually fix things. It's a lot better deciphering American accents than others, probably because it's from an American company.gshaw wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 6:09 pm Interesting stuff, I like these written features, nice and quick to get through all the pertinent info.
