Councils turning a blind eye
What is the answer to Local Authorities turning a blind eye to latent hate crimes?
Driving through Ilford yesterday , the streets are adorned with numerous Palestinian flags, prominently and quite professionally hoisted high up on lampposts on the main thoroughfares. This has been reported in national newspapers and is similarly occurring in Tower Hamlets, both councils very slow to respond by taking these down.
This cannot be right and should Israeli flags be similarly displayed , I am certain public disorder will ensue. I say that this is completely wrong and they should be removed.

I avoid Ilford like the plaque - even though I live in the Borough.
Have a look at the religion of those in charge in both Redbridge & Tower Hamlets and you may find an answer

The current leader of LB Redbridge council is Sikh so I'm not sure what you're getting at?

Re: Councils turning a blind eye
It's because of the woke agenda. Or the fact that Local Authority budgets have been stripped down so badly by the Tories, they probably can't afford to send someone out to take down the flags. Probably the first one.

Re: Councils turning a blind eye
Those bloody Council leaders of various faiths, turning a blind eye to non-crimes when they're not actually the Police anyway. Disgusting.

One of the best 'mask off' moments the Board has seen in recent years.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 10:03 am Spen showing his true colours, rather than just hinting at them like normal

I know you’ve got a lot of aliases to keep check of but I think you’ll find it’s one of yours.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 10:16 am 3/10 - so lazy, yet will still gain some traction.

The funny thing is that the only reason people think Conkles and I have aliases is a hangover of the time we WUM’d all the idiots by colluding with Slacker to do a fake reveal that we had about 16 accounts, that, despite being wildly implausible, several idiots bought straight away because it confirmed everything they wanted to believe. Every accusation of being an alias is just a sign of what a classic WUM that was

I didn't mention the leader of the council, I was talking about those in charge - ie the councillors. Perhaps I did not make it clear.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 9:57 amThe current leader of LB Redbridge council is Sikh so I'm not sure what you're getting at?
In both Councils, it is not Jews who are running the councils

It’s lucky nobody has called anyone a c*** on this thread, or there might be a need for bannings

Re: Councils turning a blind eye
To digress slightly... I was looking up the details of councillors on Redbridge Council and it is quite worrying to see that where their home address should be it states either no address or
However, it is worrying that on grounds of a National Security Incident people are afraid to give their addresses. People should be entitled to carry out their duties as a councillor ( indeed any duties) without fear for the safety of themselves of their families
Not sure if the situation is same in other councils
To be honest I do not see why any councillor should have to provide a home address as long as their contact details are available.Address withheld due to National Security Incident, Town Hall, 128-142 High Road, Ilford, Essex, IG1 1DD

Can you digress back to what point you were trying to make about the religion of councillors?

Re: Councils turning a blind eye
Me, casting mad aspersions on the motives of Councillors on account of them being apparent followers of A Certain Religion.
Also me, isn't it sad that Councillors might be afraid of publishing their home addresses? Why would that be?! *Shrug*

Re: Councils turning a blind eye
This is probably the real reason . They don't want to spend the money to take them down . Even if they did those flags would probably go straight back up again anyway .Wally Banter wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 10:13 am It's because of the woke agenda.
