Brynn- 6. Didn't have much to do.
James - 5. Had little to do defensively against such a poor side, so can only mark him on his attacking play, which was bad
Happe - 7. Best he's looked in a while, albeit against pure trash
Beckles - 6. Distribution typically shaky, otherwise fine
Brown - 6. Isn't a right back, was up against probably wycombe's most dangerous player and handled it ok, but some very shonky passes as the game wore on.
Mizouni - 5. Our long ball game first half meant we just bypassed him for the first 45. Did nothing of note in the second.
Pratley -5. Battled hard as ever, so maybe I'm being harsh, but offered little going forward, which is an issue when you have 60% possession
Galbraith. 7 first 60 minutes, 3 for the final thirty. Looked our most dangerous player, popping up in good positions and moving it quickly. Then forgot how to be a footballer.
Forde - 6/7. Liveliest player up top, made things happen, poor end product.
Theo - 5. Offered little but battled hard as per, suspect we've run him into the ground.
Ruel - 4. That rating isn't having a pop at him per se, more the idea of playing him as a 9 then going long first half.
Subs - Agyei - 6. Good in fits and bursts, hope we get to see him in full flow at some point this season
Piggott - 6. He doesn't suit our system but I have this hunch he's gonna leave us and bang them in elsewhere as there's obviously a decent player in there. Has quick feet and brings others in well, just isn't mobile enough for us.
Moncur - 6. He isn't going to get fit so each promising cameo where he actually speeds up our play is a maddening
Sanders - n/a joined the game as we forgot how to play football and can't remember him touching it..
Wellens - 5. First half we were going direct against a team of lumps with our smallest forward as the focal point. We had bursts of decent play in the second half but he has to be accountable for how patchy that was. Real missed opportunity.
Wycombe - 3. Simply terrible. fair play to their fans for sticking with that pile of sh*t.

Re: Ratings
As much as no one was good (Agyei excepted), no one was bad. Everyone competed and negated their opponent.

That it was.
But another clean sheet, can’t remember Brynn making a save, and another point on the total.

Re: Ratings
I thought Forde was our best player although a bit wasteful at times, he at least, along with Agyei is willing to run with the ball and take players on to try and make something happen.
Two clean sheets this week is good, now we just need to convert a few chances.

Re: Ratings
Thought Agyei was a class above Forde. Shaq was a handful but constantly made the wrong final choice. But another promising performance from him.

Re: Ratings
Feel Shaq Forde is really coming good in recent weeks.
It was a big step up from National League last season with York to L1. He looks set to have a good 2nd half of the season with us, fingers crossed.

Re: Ratings
RW said in his post match interview that he was basically not worried as to who comes in and when. Left it all to Lingy. He obviously thinks that the season is over with us mid table. Concentration Iwill be on summer recruits.

Re: Ratings
I couldn't make the game last night but it sounds like yet, another frustratingly dire performance. But at the moment at least we're mid table.

Re: Ratings
If we end up in a relegation battle I do not think we will have the mental capacity to fight our way out of it if the last two games are an example.

Re: Ratings
Big shift from 2 weeks or so ago when RW was demanding experienced players. He can at this point say he's got us to mid-table, now it's someone else's job to get the reinforcements that will decide whether we stay theremoonwalk19 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 9:23 am RW said in his post match interview that he was basically not worried as to who comes in and when. Re: Ratings
I thought Wycombe defended pretty well. Their two big lads at the back were hard to get through.
Our front line at the moment really is a mess. Ruel should not be leading the line from the centre, he just vanishes. Forde is coming along nicely but I don’t think having him out wide is his best position. I think he would work best as part of a front two but seeing as the concept of two up top seems to have vanished from modern football I doubt we’ll be seeing that happen any time soon.
Ageyi is clearly a wide player. So having him on in the centre out of necessity when he initially came on was frustrating.
Pigott is simply not good enough for this level. As soon as he came on our attacking threat got diminished as he was completely overwhelmed by their CBs.
Beckles had a great game. He did an especially good job of dealing with Lyle Taylor who was trying to bully himself into scoring. Omar was having none of it and Taylor spent more time moaning at the ref than looking likely to score.
George Moncur needs to be offloaded in Jan. It’s criminal the wage he must be on and he can’t even make an impact in his 10 minute cameos anymore. Get him gone.
That’s two clean sheets in a row now and we go into 2024 safely in mid table.
I honestly can’t see us bringing in anyone of note in Jan. So looking forward to ticking off some new away grounds in the second half of the season and expecting nothing more than a mid table finish. I think the current squad has enough to stay up.

Re: Ratings
I'm not as sure as you about us staying up . Don't forget other clubs will also be strengthening next month . We just don't have good enough firepower and that could prove to be pivotal .The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 11:34 am I thought Wycombe defended pretty well.
