Easy, Richie tells them what players he wants and the board say you can’t have them. Bit like the darts program bull’s-eye “here’s what you could have had”🫢
Sounds about right to me, probably why we are where we are now.
Stevenage don’t seem to get these problems, do they have a DOF by any chance ?
Or does Evans says who he wants and gets them ?

They do have a DOF, but, would you deny a request from fatty Evans?

Tells them what players he wants and they don’t wait until the last day of the transfer window to get them. Simple

There's no doubt we are usually slow in the transfer market . No hanging around this time , if we know who we want just go in there and get them because we need them ASAP. I don't fancy us being dragged into a relegation fight .

We usually buy rubbish in January. Who remembers January 2022?. Six players brought in, and all gone within months except Brown.

I believe Ling brings them in, on recommendations from Foster ( Scout). How good they are is secondary, its how cheap they are that interests Ling, a la Pigott!
We need someone to score goals, enough to keep us in this league.....we can build in the summer. Whether thats a loanee or a signing , I dont care.
We also need to get rid of the rubbish players, of which there are many unfortunately

Finally I hope we keep Forde..hes growing into a decent goalscorer

The jury is still out on Agyei because he's still getting up to full match fitness but so far Forde looks to be our best striker . He's only a nineteen year old loanee but he puts both Pigott and Drinan completely in the shade .

It has been said that Piggott is not an out and out striker, more of a player on the lines of Teddy Sheringham. If so then get an out an out striker in and give Piggott a role to create chances for the main striker.

Think I read somewhere that Andy Kirk who is a winger and has just been released by Charlton.
No idea if he’s any good but maybe the clubs directors will chat tomorrow.

Ah, you’re probably right.
I was waiting for someone to say we have more chance of signing Captain Kirk of Star Trek 🙂

Apart from the obvious cb for cooper and winger, a cm as good as Pratley is number one either now or in the summer, it makes such a difference when he plays, he is just solid and experienced at everything and brings balance

OK, I'll ask the obvious question . Why was he released ? Is he injury prone or something ?

His goals to games ratio is very poor.
