Brynn. 6. No chance with the goals?
Hunt. 5. You know he is on the pitch but so is the ref and he contributes about as much.
Happe. 4. Our defence was sliced open like a can of pilchards for all 3 goals. What really gets my goat is that Bolton aren’t even very good. None of the current top teams are like Ipswich, Leeds, Norwich and other good league one teams of years gone by. It’s a really average division so why are we starting like we are petrified.
Beccles. 5. Had a good second half so gets marked up. What he was doing dipping is toe in for one of the goals when he is a big tough centre half I have no idea.
James. 5 ball watching for one of the goals. Got better second half like everyone else.
Archibald. 6.5. Lovely strike for the goal. So much better when he is pushed further forward.
Brown 4.5. Terrible and mercifully taken off at half time.
Gailbraith. 6. Battled manfully. Got better and better as the game wore on.
Ruel. 4. RW picking him every week puts into question is whole judgement. We were a completely different team second half without him treading on it or running into defenders in the hope they will jump out the way like a schoolboy in the playground.
Pigott. 5.5. Held it up. Sometimes. Don’t see the point of him.
Forde. 7.5. MOM. Nicely taken goal. Snatched at a couple of other chances. Grew into it and they couldn’t handle him second half.

Subs. Pratley. 7. Should have started. El Miz. 6.5. Should have started. Injured. Agyei. 6.5. Handful.

Wellens. 6. Sending them out half asleep must come down to management as does picking the completely wrong team to start.

Bolton. 5. Aside from the first 10 minutes they were craap

Agree with most of that but would mark Happe down further. He was so, so bad. Can't compete physically despite his size, gives the ball away in stupid positions, passive in defence all too often.

He'd a good player but Brown can't get away with playing as a full back at this level. That he was dropping out wide whilst playing in a central position shows how much was being asked of him.

Agree completely about Ruel. Started the season well when in a front two but in every other set up he's a complete passenger.

Bit harsh on Bolton that. Granted it’s hard to tell how much of it was them being good or us being atrocious but they were unplayable in the first half and did have spells in the second. I can see why they aren’t top though. Can’t handle it when they are put under a bit of pressure.

The Bolton Stadium deserves some recognition. Don’t usually like modern builds but I really enjoyed it.

Not often you see a team 3-0 down at half time ending the game with applause from their own fans but they really did show some fight in that second half. Incredibly unlucky not to find the equaliser at the end there on two occasions.

So much wrong with that it’s impossible to know where to start. I’m going to assume you were watching on your phone and just ignore it.

He normally lacks end product but I'd give Theo an 8, from your left wing, you got an assist and a cracking finish, can't ask too much more in one game
