Best game Shaq Forde has had in an Orient shirt
Been a real handful for Bolton in 2nd half
We have been so unlucky not to make it 3-3 in last few mins
Big 2nd half for Beckles too, he has been superb!

Re: Exiles thread - Bolton (A)
If we can play like that in next few games like we did in 2nd half today we will win more than we lose.
Well thought back O’s
Most dangerous we have looked attacking all season.

Re: Exiles thread - Bolton (A)
Should have grabbed an equaliser at the death.
Great second half performance.
MOTM Forde, mentions to Beckles (2nd half) and Pratley and Miz for turning the game around.

Re: Exiles thread - Bolton (A)
Fair enough but that's the second time we've given a team like Bolton a three goal start before we woke up . We were unlucky not to get the draw against Oxford as well . How many more times are we going to do that ?
Re: Exiles thread - Bolton (A)
Credit to us in the second half, but for that terrible start could have been so different. Lots for Richie to think about, and not just about comings and goings.

Possibly a few until we fully acclimatise to this level and get the experience we so clearly need.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 5:03 pmFair enough but that's the second time we've given a team like Bolton a three goal start before we woke up . Re: Exiles thread - Bolton (A)
The turn around came from Prat’s and El Miz replacing Brown and Galbraith, not from Galbraith replacing Ruel.
Ruel was subbed because he had been booked.

Who else does the manager have? He can only pick the players in this squad.
The defence are the same as last season and the GK coach recommended Brynn.
Forde had a half decent season in non-league. Howes had a half decent career in non-league.
We have 1 fit winger and are forced to play wing backs - not the formation he wants to play. When he does go 4 at the back, he’s forced to play strikers on the wings who both want to come inside.

Orient are exactly where everyone expected them to be come the end of the season.
Cant argue with that !

12k more than our capacity.
That's what a bigger budget buys .

Re: Exiles thread - Bolton (A)
Decent spirit and the goal will hopefully give Theo some confidence. Should have probably scored at the end too
Unfortunately it’s still 0 points and you can’t collapse for ten mins at this level. El miz being out could have a bigger effect than the result.

Looked like it was a contact injury from that shoulder to shoulder, so hopefully just some heavy bruising to come out and not something daft like a broken rib.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 5:11 pm

Re: Exiles thread - Bolton (A)
Well done Orient still learning about league One, but expect them to push on second half of the season. We have a great Manager and excellent board who care about the club. We have gone from a shambles of a club, in the National League, to a well run unit, a lot of money has been invested by the owners, I’m just happy to be where we are now after 2 promotions in 6 years. Every game I watch is a bonus as we could have gone out of existence. Up the O’s

Re: Exiles thread - Bolton (A)
Think you have got to put today down to Richie, wrong starting eleven our midfield killed us first half, got the right players on second half and we bossed it and could have got a point.
Richies learning too I guess.

Can you imagine if Moncur was playing like the top class number 10 his salary should merit? We’d be a totally different proposition.

Re: Exiles thread - Bolton (A)
Looked like we were going to be overrun at 3 0. Shocking start to the game - looks like we came back strongly and in the end our attacking stats were better than Wanderers. Let's hope that the remaining 24 games gives us another 8 wins and we will be fine. Lots of work to be done by RW and ML...

Re: Exiles thread - Bolton (A)
Such an odd game. First 15 minutes we were abysmal, I can't remember ever seeing a start like that. Every Bolton attack looked like a goal was going to come. Happe, James and Beckles were dreadful.
And then second half it all clicked, absolutely all over them. They barely hung on to that, two genuinely great chances to equalise at the death.
Wellens point after the Cheltenham game about us having an extremely fit squad rings true. We get a lot of late goals and create a lot of pressure at the end.

No it doesn't - not a 'definite', anyway.
