Re: Who will leave in January?
Not sure why Sanders would be shipped out, even temporarily. Think he'll feature now fit.
Drinan and Thompson should go, but won't.
Moncur will hopefully get that L2 move his form warrants.
Wellens probably the most likely to depart IMHO.

How many minutes has Sanders played? He seems to be behind Moncur and Galbraith

Re: Who will leave in January?
My guess...
Loaned out to L2: Moncur, Sweeney
Leave for nominal fee: Happe
Loan end not renewed: Cooper
Drinan would've been in the first list but now he's injured he'll be here until end of season

Drinan will still be mooching around the Gaughan Group Stadium after the nuclear apocalypse has wiped everyone else out.

and with a free run at goal he still wouldn’t score.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 10:07 am Drinan will still be mooching around the Gaughan Group Stadium after the nuclear apocalypse has wiped everyone else out.

Re: Who will leave in January?
What kind of basket case club would take on Thompson? He’s not going anywhere until his contract runs out.
I think a loan deal could be struck for Moncur. Somewhere like Gillingham I reckon.
Sweeney can get himself off to a conference club for some much needed development.
Drinan needs to go but can’t see anyone taking him on, even on loan with us paying 100% of his wages.
Bit strange but for the first time in quite a few seasons I can’t think of a single player we are at risk of losing due to a bigger club wanting to snap them up. I honestly can’t see anyone rushing in to sign Happe or Ruel who you could argue are our most promising/valuable players.
As I mentioned a while back, and others are now hinting at, I think Wellens being gone is a possibility. Struggling to see where the goals (and points) are going to come from in the next 3 games. If Wellens goes that will obviously throw all transfer activity up in the air.

Should spice up this thread by discussing which boarders will leave in January - either voluntarily, or pushed

Re: Who will leave in January?
Drinan definitely needs to go, but who the hell will want a striker that cant score, cant trap a ball, cant pass, and is always injured
I would like Happe to go. IMO he isnt league 1 standard, and we might get a few bob for him. Centre backs are not hard to find, so he can be replaced
Hunt is another, that isnt of the standard required IMO
Its more important who we bring IN, than who leaves this window

Its to be hoped Father Christmas is going lots of places or there will be many unhappy boarders when they wake up on 25thTop of the JES wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 12:32 pmHe's going nowhere.spen666 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 12:27 pmChristmas has not arrived yetTop of the JES wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 12:09 pm

Re: Who will leave in January?
I can't see Moncur going anywhere until his contract expires. Who would want to pick up the reputed 3k a week wage bill for an inconsistent, out of sorts, luxury player?

Re: Who will leave in January?
L2 club challenging for promotion. He does enough at that level to change games e.g. that goal against Wimbledon at home that was absolutely vital
