Questions For Orient Hour
Time to put any questions you'd like discussed by our panel on Thursdays show
We will be reviewing Macclesfield & Plymouth
In a week where Reading stewards asked a supporter to stop texting during a match we'd like your views on that.
If you could add a player to the current squad who would it be and why ?
Plus any points you'd like discussed
Live on Phoenix 98fm or online 7pm Thursday.

Re: Questions For Orient Hour
I would add Ebou Adams, I don't know why we didn't go back in for him.
Q, should we go back to 442? And if so, who should play?
Not a Q, but can we discuss Brophys lack of end product?

I'd like to know which greedy little gremlin decided free commentary on the Beeb was a luxury we didn't deserve.

Re: Questions For Orient Hour
Q: Why is it, other teams buy fit players that can start in the next game, and have immediate impact, but Orient can only buy unfit players who need time on the bench and only gradually return to fitness?
Look at the three goalscorers Macclesfield had last Saturday as an example

Re: Questions For Orient Hour
The texting thing is a joke. Sky, BBC and even the club's themselves put out live updates on websites and social media. Someone clearly on a power trip with that one.

Because he's a snakey snake who we need to boo off the pitch again when he comes to playPrestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 9:43 pm I would add Ebou Adams, I don't know why we didn't go back in for him.
I'd like Stephen Dawson from 2010 or whoever his 2019 equivalent is.

Is Martin Ling actively looking for a new manager or is he seeing how this interim nonsense pans out before looking and doing due dilligence

Re: Questions For Orient Hour
But Macclesfield signed four players last week and none of them started in the next game (against us).ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 10:18 pm Q: Why is it, other teams buy fit players that can start in the next game, and have immediate impact, but Orient can only buy unfit players who need time on the bench and only gradually return to fitness?

Macclesfield's three scorers signed over the summer. Of the four new players we signed over the summer three started (Wilkinson, Angol and Wright) and the fourth (Dennis) was on the bench as he only joined the day before. So the question doesn't make sense.

Always enjoy listening to Jamie Stripe. Need more people like him, Sessions and Jim Nichols on (or just get them on more regularly).Andy Gilson wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 10:11 pm Panel is Billy Herring, Jamie Stripe,Sam Munday and Darin Burrows. Re: Questions For Orient Hour
I think it's something along the lines that it was free for the BBC to broadcast National League games, yet radio stations would have to have an agreement for broadcasting rights with the EFL to broadcast live at 3pm on a Saturday.UpminsterO wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 10:34 pmI thought the BBC was paid for within the licence fee I really enjoyed listening to that and watching the resultsEat The Rich wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 9:46 pm I'd like to know which greedy little gremlin decided free commentary on the Beeb was a luxury we didn't deserve.
I was very disappointed that was not available when I logged in last Saturday
I could be completely wrong though.

Re: Questions For Orient Hour
Is the elusive and much discussed “ ball winning midfielder” the answer to all the teams problems?
Re: Questions For Orient Hour
Have we been too passive and naive in our recruitment policy (ie. the same mistake as last time we were promoted)? On the back of the last couple of performances the squad looks lightweight and overloaded with players, who for various reasons, won't contribute strongly this season.

Re: Questions For Orient Hour
Several for me.
Do you feel that poor performances in the last two games are down to quality of players or the quality of tactics and team set-up?
Also what do you make of Embleton singling out players in the midweek post match interview? One a prime asset with an expiring contract (Ekpiteta) and the other an inexperienced former youth player (Judd).
Does the latter send worrying messages to other youth products that they risk public criticism if brought into the team and make mistakes?

Re: Questions For Orient Hour
could you ask Jamie Stripe if he’s ever got over the one on one miss with the stoke city goalkeeper circa 1992/93
and does he still buy Dave Knight a beer for getting him out the doodoo with the killer winner

Re: Questions For Orient Hour
Q.. What were the positives in offering Dayton
a new contract ?, out injured an update on
when he's match ready would be great ..
Also he seemed to take an age to sign the
new deal like he did when he first joined the
Club 2 years ago...
