Things have been a bit heavy around the club these days, so I thought I'd serve up some lighter fare: an interview with Leyton Orient's first team chef Adam Dudley. He talks about what it's like to cook for the squad, discusses his favourite dishes to prepare, gives some Christmas dinner tips, and reveals which O's member moans the most about his food.

Thanks for reading, as always!

Really interesting. I always find it enlightening to hear about people behind the scenes. Thanks for sharing.

The expense involve in running the club is often easy to ignore as much is out of sight, feeding 60 is obviously part of the financial drain. As mentioned before , I personally find the hospitality very unremarkable and will not be going there again in a hurry as you can get better offerings in local pubs and restaurants. I don’t know if this chef is responsible for the hospitality menu but it could be improved in my view. At least serving the food up on warm plates would help.
The snack catering in the ground does nothing to speak to me as a person who values their health and diet. If the club wants to improve their sales they should try and improve on the offerings here.

As far as the matchday catering at the stadium goes, I believe it is an outsourced operation, so Adam isn't involved with it. And agreed on the snacks. I enjoy the pies, but there could be healthier options. It may be limited by what space they have available, though. In previous seasons, in the North Stand at least, the kids' meal is supposed to come with an apple, but there often wouldn't be any apples so the staff would just say to take a chocolate bar instead. I think the apples are now regularly available this season.Daily Express bot wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 9:11 am The expense involve in running the club is often easy to ignore as much is out of sight, feeding 60 is obviously part of the financial drain.
