Having a player means nothing if he costs you points by lacking a yard or 2 of pace.

Management over the last year have decided that the players who play when all are fit, are the better percentage options.
Ling has performed reaeonably well over pre season & has had no blame whatsoever in any of the goals conceded this season.

A lot of people seem to think they have opinions better than employees of the club , trouble is they need to get there coaching badges & make themselves available for
the jobs.
They may well be better , but at the moment they are just opinionated fans .
Nothing wrong with that , but thats how it is.

I just think ling has the better fitness & stamina levels & i doubt judd
would ever be able to get ahead of him on that, saying that i dont think
Liing would ever be in front of judd skill ability wise .

Overall id put lingy in front as his overall on both is better than judds overall on both.

Not to go all prez business on you but basic management, in any field, means you don’t publicly call out people for f*cking up. Not only will they lose respect for you and not want to go the extra mile, but it’s also a huge confidence knocker, especially if you’re 21 years old.

You hear it week in week out, managers dodging questions about individuals. You say that defensively we weren’t good enough and there were some individual mistakes which we’ll learn from. Hammer them in private, by all means, but we can see the goals, he doesn’t really need to point fingers publicly.

I was using statistics

In our ongoing qualitative classroom research, we adopt a sociocultural perspective to investigate discourse, and its role in how children and teachers make meaning of mathematics in a fifth grade inquiry classroom. Our theoretical perspective draws primarily on Vygotsky (1978, 1986) and Bakhtin (1981, 1986) each of whom examines how social forms of meaning influence individual cognition. The episode described in this paper examines the process whereby individual and group developmental trajectories are constructed, and allows us to explore the relationship between discourse and knowing. We combine a longitudinal design with a case study approach to focus on the collaborative mathematical problem solving. We use video capture to help us listen to children’s discussions in classroom activities and small group interactions. Our analysis of the verbal data recorded on video identifies patterns of interaction, development and change in participants’ use of mathematical language and concepts, and their evolving understanding, through discussion and argument, of an algebraic expression constructed by one of the children. The findings lead us to argue for i) a more generative view of the zone of proximal development as a site of learning and of identity formation, ii) an expanded view of the role of the teacher in inquiry classrooms, and iii) an appreciation for the valuable roles difference and resistance play in knowledge building" .

Personally thought Ling was having a good game until his injury. Finally had some options to give the ball to with Dennis marauding in front of him and looked a bit more confident receiving the ball higher up. One lovely bit of chest control from a big crossfield pass showed that.

Judd does get stuck in and perhaps a bit more edgy than Ling but that's also his weakness in terms of being caught out positionally or diving in.
