Binged watched 4 episodes yesterday, it's really good. Daisy Haggard is always worth watching. Even has that BritFlick icon Craig Fairbass doing what he does.

Anyone else going to watch Napoleon? I see that the history crowd are outraged with Ridley Scott's disregard for factual accuracy, but I don't care and will simply accept the film as fact and enjoy it all the more.

What a mess of a film. Some okay bits, but this really should have been so much better. A wasted opportunity which, I'm disappointed to say, isn't worth your time or money at the cinema.

Sure, watching on a smaller screen at home will mean not experiencing some of the more cinematic moments, but IMO they simply are not good enough to justify the effort.

This year was special as, despite the state of cinema, we were to get three big films; Oppenheimer, Killers of the Flower Moon and Napoleon. These are big 'moment' films, made by renowned directors and staring big name actors. We don't get enough of these anymore, so to get three in one year was special.

Out of those three, I rate KOTFM as the best. But the real winner, in my opinion, is Barbie. That's this film where, upon leaving the cinema, I felt I'd been the most entertained.

Severance on Apple TV - This is BRILLIANT! It has to be one of the most engaging, thought-provoking, unnerving, well written, well acted, and brilliantly filmed pieces of television I've watched in years.

Each episode unwraps a layer and draws you deeper in to this surreal and disturbing workplace thriller. And each of the characters are clearly developed and memorable. It's just nine episodes, and I still have two more to go, but I'm calling this as my favourite show of the year (despite it coming out in 2022).

Easily the best thing I’ve seen in about ten years. Think I was banging on about it here at some point. Hopefully season two comes along soon and I can blag another free trial

I'm still reeling over just how bloody good this show is. This scene in particular was a work of art.

It’s so good, I loved every minute. And genuinely thought provoking.

It’s all very understated until the story develops, but the idea of your self outside of work essentially cutting your working self adrift, condemning him/her to a lifetime of never ending servitude is one of the best dystopian ideas I’ve ever come across. There’s a level of inhumanity there that’s almost perfect
