Who knows. Apparently we could win the game and still go out! More important is NO injuries.

Sooner we are out of this waste of a time competition the better.
I would say put a reserve team out but squad is so thin, we will have to use same group of players.
Must not risk Happe, Cooper, Theo, El Miz, Pigott

RW wants to progress in it, also sees it as an opportunity for fringe players to get minutes. Can't see Portsmouth putting out anything but a reserve team considering they played this afternoon

Be good for fringe players needing game time.
Beckles, Sweeney, Pratts, Moncs, Pelgrum, Drinan all need to get some game time

Win by 3 goals and we’re through.

You did ask.

If we win by three goals we are through regardless of other results.
If we don't win in ninety minutes we are out.
If we win and Gillingham beat Fulham we are out.
If we win and Gillingham Fulham is a draw we are through regardless of who wins on penalties.
If we win and Fulham win it comes down to goal difference. Fulham's goal difference is currently one better than ours.
If goal difference is equal it comes down to goals scored. Fulham have currently scored two more.
If goals scored is equal we will go through having beaten Fulham on penalties when we met.

If the Manager thinks it is worth progressing then that is all that matters.
It must be difficult for Players to train all week with nothing at the end of the week to make the training worth while.

Its giving fringe guys like Jaydon Sweeney game time and stake a claim to a Lg1 starting place

We need to win by 3 clear goals to go above Portsmouth, then we qualify either first or second depending of outcome of Gillingham and Fulham. If we win by fewer goals we need Gills and Fulham to draw.
