A sellout 1500 crowd will be at Sheppey to see their first ever 1st round appearance against Walsall. The magic is still there - you just have to search for it.
I hope the club recognise those who showed interest in the competition, if tickets are at a premium later on.
In my opinion it would be fair to offer tickets to stub holders of tickets for rounds one and two before offering them to season ticket holders.
Investing in assuring tickets for a potential big away day would surely boost the gate.

Difficult to imagine an attractive away game that would attract more Orient season ticket holders than could be accommodated
As well as Wellens has done for the club in the league he doesn't seem interested in cup matches. I'm not expecting him to play our strongest team, so don't know what to expect. It's a shame really because if we finish mid-table, which I'm hoping this season a cup run would have been fun.

Agree but I hope that with the money on offer (£41,000 to the winners) we may take it seriously.
We could do with the cash. We have a decent enough sized squad , even with a few injuries, to put
out a good side.

After listening to the Q&A the other day, I think Travis will be very peed off if we don't get through.

I'm hoping for one or two surprise appearances from little known players happen and they do well . Also hope players in the squad who haven't looked good when they did play give it a good go .
The FA Cup has been devalued and the FA have been complicit in this. All the changes to the competition have been introduced to benefit the top clubs at the expense of everyone else. They've even allowed to final itself to be devalued. The top clubs complain about fixture congestion but would have been quite happy to start a Super league. They should re-introduce endless replays and have the final as the last game of the season at 3pm on a Saturday. Third round day has managed to maintain its' appeal in my view and we'd get a bumper crowd if we drew a top side. Some of the best Orient games I've ever seen have been FA Cup games. Home v West Ham in the 80's was a corker. Beating Fulham at Craven Cottage was a bit special too. Somehow I managed to miss us beating West Brom in 84/85 but managed to get to 90% of the other games that season when we were by and large pretty awful.
We are ball No. 6 in this afternoons draw live on ITV at 2.30. Mrs NES and I be watching. The live draw still has some magic to it.
Great game yesterday apart from our usual mad 10 mins where we switched off, but I'm getting used to that almost every game. Great that Drinan finally got his name on the score sheet. Sympathy to the Carlisle player stretched off.

The fans are also to blame. Look at post from Eggski for a fan who doesn't value the cup
Part of it is the broadcasters (led by money). I find a lot of magic in the fa cup and get excited if Harrogate vs Liverpool is on. But wait until the 3rd round…they will show whoever Man Utd get. Utd v sheff utd zzz. Then they will have a middling all prem tie, villa v Brighton zzz and then probably whoever Leeds gets Leeds vs Walsall zzz. I’d find it loads more exciting to watch a league one team away at some park team.
One way they could revitalise the early rounds would be for League clubs to experiment with making attendance free, perhaps in a targeted way at people who don't normally go to games. Would make cup games distinctive and give an opportunity to bring in a different crowd.
Sounds a bit pie in the sky but Dusseldorf in Germany are doing this for all games, and seeing as we heavily discounted tickets yesterday anyway and may not even mean much of an income difference assuming you'd get 8k+ if free (could work out some kind of split with the away club for the money made from spend inside the ground).
