Brynn. 7. A couple of routine stops. Commanded his area well.
Happe 7.5. Won all his headers and his passing was a great outlet.
Cooper.7.5. He has slotted in so well. Most of his work goes unnoticed but is impossibly difficult to get past. A real find.
Turns. 7. Good game along with the rest of the defence.
Hunt. 6.5. Plenty of huff and puff. Not the greatest when he has time on the ball.
Archibald. 6.5. Taking one for the team every week playing in the wing back role as it curtails his ability to get forward but his workrate is unmatched.
Brown. 7.5. Running in treacle in the last 15 mins. Before that he was everywhere winning so many second balls.
El Miz. 7. Took a couple of wrong options when in good positions plus a good chance spurned. Still one of the best players on the pitch though and hit the crossbar with a worldie.
Gailbraith. 6.5. Neat and tidy on the ball. Didn’t penetrate as much as you would like.
Piggott MOM. 8. Looked a different player. Beautiful ball for our goal. Another great ball to set up Ruel. Won plenty of duals. Great game.
Ruel 7. Nice goal albeit their keeper has had a mare. Mostly held it up well.

Subs. Drinnan. 6. Hmmmm. Others 6.

Wellens. 7. Another 3 points. We never looked flustered aside from the last 10 minutes when they had a number of corners that we defended well.

Carlisle. 5. Simmo will be fuming. First half they were shambolic.

Ref 7. Good game.

Can't really argue with those. Pigott unfairly gets singled out far too many times IMO.

Agree about Cooper, really good signing.

Have to say that I share Richie’s sentiments about Carlisle and have a bit of a soft spot for them too. Great old ground with really friendly staff and just a generally welcoming football club. Hope they survive this season.

From the Stream

Agree on Pigott, perhaps his best game so far for the O's
Not 100% sure about Brynn, occasional hesitation, but then again the bar was set high by Vigs last season
Excellent 1st half in which we were never troubled and well worth another goal. Got a bit nervy late on in the 2nd half but with a bit more composure we could have added another.
We now have Brown, El Miz and Sotiriou on 4 yellow cards, so suspensions are looking likely to 3 of our most consistent performers this season as the 25th of November is the cut-off point.

Very pleased with the win today

The Scotch Orient Ratings Committee were unanimous in their decision to award Piglet the MOM.

He had an excellent game. Should have possibly done better from the El Miz rebound off the bar in the 1st half.

Other than that put in a tireless shift, until he got tired and was subbed off. Lovely pass to put Sotiriou through for the goal.

Happe also a contender for MOM. Solid performance at the back and caused them real problems at long throw ins and corners.

3 points in the bag. I'm away back up the road a happy man. Onward to the play offs.

Wasn’t it Ruel who missed off the bar?

Your query has been passed to the Scotch Orient Adjudication and Blame Committee for Missing Sitters.

Your post is important to us and we will get back to you ASAP but I reckon it was Piglet.

Not sure RW will agree with these ratings. 3 man defense are worth 7 but not sure anyone else is more than a 5. Performance was just adequate but a win is a win.

I'm delighted to see Pigott getting such a high rating .If we're to do well this season we need our forward players to keep playing like that . Well done Joe.

Along with El-Miz Cooper is another player on loan I'd like us to sign on a permeant contract .

Good first half performance and was one in that we could and should have been at least two goals ahead.
Pigott was excellent, coming deep to pick up balls from defence and a great pass into Ruel’s feet for a sublime finish…….although god knows what their ‘keeper was doing.
2nd half saw us hanging on a bit, although I thought that Carlisle were a bit limited and didn’t create that much. We didn’t look threatening at all in the 2nd half……..Drinan broke free down the left on one occasion, and just chipped it to nobody in an empty penalty box.
Galbraith and Cooper were good………Cooper has been an excellent signing, nothing pretty, just a good ‘stopper’.
A good win, and another 3 points as we move up the league.

Agreed. I thought Galbraith was busy all day long and was surprised by Beradogs lowish rating.

Shout out for Rob Hunt who stood up incredibly strong on what was probably Carlisle's best chance.
Around the six yard line, from a corner (I think?)
