Not sure why you replay the whole of game which has almost finished because it got stopped 5mins before the end.Loin Cloth Lenny wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 3:36 pmOnly fair wayChief crazy horse wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 2:36 pm

Re: ABANDONED GAME
Sounds completely fair. Play the full 90 again, maybe we should have invaded the pitch against Portsmouth, until they decided to abandon and then we could have another crack at it. That’s are plan B

Re: ABANDONED GAME
Thought it would be replayed at some point however it would be a nice gesture for Lincoln to allow Piggott to walk the ball into the net, that way we would only have to defend for 89 minutes

Re: ABANDONED GAME
Have EFL made a decision? If they have maybe the clubs are sorting things out eg date and a possible walk in goal

They probably have 'protocols' to consider and don't forget their 'integrity'. Joke organisation, don't expect anything else!

What have they done wrong here (after Tuesday was abandoned, no comment on what led up to it) other than not make a decision by a random set of arbitrary deadlines set by impatient MB users?

Probably got to wait for a committee, that sits only once a month or something equally ridiculous in today's world, to make a decision.

EFL Abandonment Regulation 5.4
" Any decision on a replayed match will only be made once a Thread reaches 10 pages or more on the LOFC Message Board. "
Nearly there.

Re: ABANDONED GAME
Exactly. I could say negative things about the EFL (including their protocol which in my opinion prevented a man receiving potentially life saving treatment in a timely fashion) however on the decision about what to do about the game I can understand the delay.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 9:05 pm What have they done wrong here (after Tuesday was abandoned, no comment on what led up to it) other than not make a decision by a random set of arbitrary deadlines set by impatient MB users?
It’s a highly unusual situation and whatever decision they make is going to have many repercussions and will almost certainly upset someone no matter what they decide.
I still think that playing the final few minutes + stoppage time behind closed doors is the most sensible option.

Re: ABANDONED GAME
Lincolns game v York where a player died was the last match of that season ( other than P.O's), 6 months after the original game was abandoned.

The delay in delivering such a simple decision is beyond me.
