I realise that you’re doing this in an attempt to WUM me. Your attempt on the other thread by randomly bringing up Sam Howes failed miserably so you’re going a different route on this one.
When your desperation to get a rise out of another boarder gets to the point where you’re writing utter nonsense about the basic principles of football then you seriously need to have a word with yourself.

Re: Ratings
I notice there was no rating for Reading. I thought they were pretty ordinary. I was expecting them to be better than they were considering they were in the Championship last season. We've heard a lot about how this is a higher standard than last season in League 2, but from what I've seen at (admittedly only at Brisbane Road),I've not been that impressed apart from Portsmouth and Stevenage. I was quite unimpressed by Lincoln as well. I wonder if the standard is that much higher.

Thought I read before the game they're under transfer embargo and it's a ragtag group of youth players and free agents?bobo66 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 4:58 pm I notice there was no rating for Reading. The top half sides are much higher in physicality and technique though from mid-table downwards not so much so

Any news on Happe? Was he carrying an injury?Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 5:59 pm Brynn - 6 or 7 depending on watching the highlights and whether he could have done better with the goal. Was solid all round otherwise.
Hunt - 7. Defensively solid, didn't do much going forward but helped us keep the ball by being good in possession as ever.
Cooper - 7. Hard to fault, has a bit more ballast about him than the others.
Happe - 7. Hard to fault as well. Quietly adapting well to this division.
Turns - 6. Some defensive wobbles here and there but not pushed much by a poor Reading team. May have fluffed the goal.
Theo - 7. Excellent first half, faded a bit in the second but still got some excellent crosses in. Looks better on the left always seems to find half a yard to whip one in.
Brown - 8. Cracking finished, kept the game ticking over nicely. Developing into a real player
Sanders - 7. Shame he got injured as he's looked really good these last two games. Like Moncur sans a stone.
Miz - 6. Decent enough and grew into the game, but not decisively bossing it like usual.
Ruel - 7. Movement was excellent, unlucky not to score with the chance that came off the bar.
Piggot - 6. He's obviously not a target man. Has good feet but gets a bit bogged down in the way we play. Missed one real sitter.
Moncur - 6. Would be a 5 but somehow showed a burst of space from nowhere to get the goal.
James - 6. Didn't have much to do at the back, does give us better distribution when playing in the middle.
Graham - 7. Immediately improved our set pieces, generally a menace on the wing.
Drinan - 6. Sharper than last season, was never scoring that chance at the end.
Pratley - n/a.
He is looking good in this team. I have been thinking about the match Saturday and really thought with a bit more fine tuning we can pull out a big surprise this season. What was good to see is that almost everyone is giving 100% . With less waste with the corners, a bit more self discipline (including RW) we could do amazingly well. Proud to be an LO fan .

Reading was a hard fought victory as was Lincoln until it was halted, and they're both in the lower half of the table. And both games were at home. I'm not getting too carried away. This, I think, is going to be a hard slog of a season.

I don’t think so Chief, think we will be ok. I personally think the team are starting to play some attractive football however I would like to see more consistency and obviously better finishing in front of goal. A mid table or top half finish is more than a possibility imoChief crazy horse wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 10:05 am Reading was a hard fought victory as was Lincoln until it was halted, and they're both in the lower half of the table. Re: Ratings
I think we'll be fine. 2 defeats from the past 9 (included Lincoln so appreciate that has an asterisk next to it) suggests we're finding our feet at this level. Wouldn't necessarily predict a top half finish but I'm confident that we should see the season out without too much stress over relegation.

Re: Ratings
We are hardly in third gear yet, I think we look better than you suggest. A win is a win and every team gets results in matches that are not so graceful in appearance. When the dice are in our favour who knows how we can end up ultimately? I think we have the potential to pull off a surprise. We certainly have enough coaches (probably too too heavy to be brutally honest) to make it happen. We have great support every match and all the ingredients are there to succeed.Chief crazy horse wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 10:05 am Reading was a hard fought victory as was Lincoln until it was halted, and they're both in the lower half of the table. Well, let's hope you are right. By the way, I'm not suggesting we are going to be relegated or anything like that, and I'm not suggesting that we're not that good and can't turn it on from time to time. My assessment is based more on the teams we have yet to face and of course our inability to finish a game off.Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 10:13 amI don’t think so Chief, think we will be ok. In my opinion our biggest test of the season is on Saturday week when we play Barnsley . No disrespect to Portsmouth and Stevenage but I think in the long run Barnsley are the best team in League 1.Chief crazy horse wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 10:35 amWell, let's hope you are right.
