Labour under Corbyn won the seat in 2017 with more votes and with the SNP riding the wave and no openly fascist Tory party. Keir has harvested the disgruntled Tories.

Interestingly the SNP vote share has collapsed due to disillusionment with Nicola & Co and they couldn't muster enough activists to deliver leaflets and had to hire a company to do it.

I was wondering what would happen because of the massive influx of new members after the Indyref and whether they would become more radical.

They responded by centralising further and marginalising the membership whilst adopting even more neo-liberal policies and tearing themselves apart on marginal issues like the GRA. Independence is on the back burner for now.

It was. Although in % term last night is 26% down on 2017 and almost 30% on 2019. No previous by-election in this constituency to compare against though.

Labour are terrified of a rerun of the 1992 General Election. Hence the softly softly approach. Media such as The Sun is less influential these days, and a lot of commentators fancy a change for a change's sake. I would like to see a certain East London MP charged with rape on the run up to the next Election. That would screw Sleazy Richy's Party nicely.
