In answer to the opening post…nothing can be done because it’s now all too late. It’s a mindset that now can’t be undone. It’s only going to carry on or even get worse. Things in society have been allowed to drift away and this is the consequence. Before somebody mentions poverty, we were always skint in the sixties and seventies but you could count the amount of stabbings on one hand for the entire country yearly
Kids are dying let's do nothing.
BUT THAT'S WHATS HAPPENING ....... NOTHING !
It'll upset far to many people if SOMETHING is done

Do you think 13 years of a Conservative govt spreading fear, despair and helplessness has anything to do with it?
Knife crime did not stop when Labour were in power for 13 years from 1997.
It can’t be ‘stopped’, but it has got exponentially worse under the Conservatives.

Well sorry but that's just my opinion . Obviously things will be tried but I doubt anything will be effective . It's too far gone .

Ok Maxy I'm a clown but I bet we're still talking about this issue in ten years time . Sadly I honestly can't see anything changing . Something has gone horribly wrong in society and I doubt anybody knows now how to fix it .

It's a long term solution that starts with education and equality in childhood, helping reduce disenfranchisement. The thing is, with a 4 year term and bipartisan politics few political leaders have the balls to push for the required changes.

The 15 year old girl was killed on her way to a private school. Her mum is a nurse. What inequality do you mean here?

And the person that did the stabbing?
No idea, reports saying he was from Uganda. We got to educate people there as well?

Maybe not make knives that reach London from Uganda ?
I do not follow, can you elaborate please. The assailant was from Uganda, doubt if knife was.
Issue is this incident did not involve drugs or drill music but the victim helping her friend get her belongings. There do not seem to be any boundaries these days.

You asked about educating Ugandans & I replied. I assumed you meant the assailant was in Uganda.

Damn. It looks like we failed to answer this one in time. A 16 year old boy was stabbed to death in Edmonton last night.
Just look at the pattern of things and the answers are there to see.

No, I'm saying society is because there isn't any answer . Put it this way , what has been tried up until now and why didn't it work ?
You mean tried by the Conservatives, who have been in power for 13 years and caused poverty to grow exponentially across the country.
Thanks for pointing that out.
Can you tell me what Labour did to stop knife crime and poverty between 1997 and 2010 when they were in power for 13 years please as for certain, it still existed.

All governments regardless of what partiy have been soft on these drug and knife crimes and it has got worse and will get worse regardless of who is in power because they are too weak to do anything harsh on these criminals.
Firstly look and compile lists of the areas where knife crimes happen the most, then research as to who have been involved in the knife crimes, both victims and perpetrators of the crimes, then bring in stop and search in those areas to look for those carrying knives and also drugs. Those found in possession of knives to be given prison sentences and same goes for those with large amounts of drugs in their possession. No doubt that protests will occur if a stop and search policy is put in place, so most likely it wont happen and the drugs and knife crimes will continue.
