AS we've seen this season there are some good players in the National League .Personally, I think we should raid a couple of our National League rivals for their best players.
Yup good shout, all about spotting those with potential to improve like with Ekpiteta.

This. Players like Rowe and a couple of the Barnet lads would do nicely.

Knowing us, it'll be feast or famine, nothing middling.
If we escape the play-offs then JE and the board can get on with preparations early doors. As is, l'd guess the current squad would finish about 16th.

The bloke in midfield today with sh*t hair was decent, great delivery with his left foot and bit of a nasty git (left one on Koroma). I'd take him.

There will be literally loads and loads of them who would all jump at the chance of the move to us and L2.

Analysis of clubs previously promoted from the fifth to the fourth suggests we should be very optimistic about next season - play-offs are a very realistic expectation, and if we persuade Bonne, Koroma et al to stay it will presumably be on the basis that we have that ambition

There is a lot of dross in the bottom half of league 2. We were useless in 15/16 and still nearly crept into the playoffs even with some nonsense from the owners. We should be looking to get into the playoffs.

I would, yes given the circumstances going into this season. Between 15-20th feels like our ceiling.

I'm on record saying that this was going to be a tough season and that mid table would do for this year.

We should be aiming higher than that. We've played some of the top sides in succession. Apart from the Swindon game we haven't been far off.
My concern is our we lack of creativity to make decent goal scoring chances and lack of shots on target. If we can't improve our goal opportunities from open play then we should just play for set pieces in and around the opponent's penalty box. At least then we get Marvin and Coulson in the opponent's box for the headers.

Wouldn't you say that lack of creativity, lack of goal scoring chances and lack of shots on target are quite major problems? Add to that the fact that our defence has gone from great to rubbish, I'd say we are in trouble.

A lot has changed, and whilst play off places are still achievable, it looks unlikely. Would accept 23rd as a minimum, but believe Orient will fare a bit better than that.

So long as we’re not relegated this season i’d be happy enough with whatever position we finished in. Next season will can try and push onwards
