I had a close friend who was American, staggering to me their lack of knowledge as to where any other countries were in the world and deluded about how to solve any diplomatic problems. They were just lucky to live in a country overflowing with natural resources, self sufficient in most things thus so ignorant as to life in the rest of the world.
