Genuine question for you:

go back on this thread and tell me which boarder first mentioned Howlers and then proceeded to steer the conversation in that direction.

Was it me?

Yes or no.
I know you think you're being clever, but you're not. It's a Saturday night, there must be better things you could be doing.
Answer the question please. Who bought Howlers into this conversation. Me or someone else?

Why does that matter? You’re the only one who’s continuing the conversation.

You did. Your post didn't mention him by name but was clearly about him, as I, you and everyone else knows. HTH.

My post was exclusively about Sol Brynn.

It is in fact YOU who are obsessed with the bloke if you read a comment praising our GK and your immediate thought is “this must be a dig out our beloved Howlers”.

Sad. You’d rather use this thread to attack me than share in the well deserved praise of Sol, who is an excellent GK and played a big part in winning 3 points yesterday.

The thing about being deliberately disingenuous is that for the sake of the dubious pleasure of denying something despite it obviously being true (in this case, that you weren’t continuing your tiresome digs at a goalkeeper you don’t like), you make yourself less credible in the future on everything, because you’re showing yourself to not have the courage to stand by what you actually say.
At least if you admitted that you’re having trouble keeping a lid on your frustration at a goalkeeper, you’d be being honest with yourself, and maybe gain a bit of perspective. Pretending it’s not clear that that’s exactly what you’re doing is moronic

That may all be well and true, but I genuinely was praising Sol Brynn who was excellent yesterday.

Certain boarders have a weird thing about me because I pointed out that our reserve goalie is rubbish a few weeks back.

Your point about standing by what I say is strange as at no point have I changed my actual position. It’s the accusation that I’m turning threads into conversations about Howlers than I challenge because I’m not the one who initially mentioned him and other boarders falsely claiming that I did doesn’t make it true.

If I said to a friend “ah your new relationship is working out well. That’s good, it makes a difference being with someone intelligent, I bet”, it would rightly be interpreted as a slight on the previous partner’s brain power. If such a comment came after the friend knew I’d claimed that his previous partner was thick, the comment would rightly be seen not as a genuine neutral compliment on the new partner’s thinking, but as a continuation of needless digs at a previous partners perceived stupidity.

Please stop pretending to not understand this, because you knew exactly what you were doing when you posted

Can’t win here really when I have people twisting my words to mean whatever justifies at having a dig at me.

Your completely hypothetical and made up conversation about partners has absolutely nothing to do with a conversation about Leyton Orients performances. It’s quite an absurd tangent.

I see you’re pretending to be unfamiliar with the concept of an analogy, too.
