Why do you bring this up, in a thread about a nonse who was found dead in his cell in New York? I can't really see the link. But I think you need to be put straight. The 9 gallants from Israel, who have been set free by the Cypriot Police, have also been accused by the British young lady of filming themselves having their pleasure with her and downloading it on the Internet. Now I think this is why she quite rightly cried foul. I should imagine the Cypriot Police fell over themselves in their excitement at viewing this evidence. If she didn't give permission for this I feel she has been well abused and violated.

Firstly, if you could actually read I have at no time defended Epstein. Saying he has not been convicted of the allegations is a statement of fact, not defending anyone.

He may or may not have done the acts alleged. There has been no EVIDENCE either way produced.

In both English and US law someone is presumed innocent until PROVEN guilty.


I would be more worried about being in company of people with your lynch mob mentality than in company of someone who states correctly the legal position.

I would indeed have defended Jimmy Saville if he had faced a trial.

That is my job and I am proud to do it.

Everyone has the right to a fair trial.

If you have the evidence that they are guilty, then why are you so upset at letting them gave a fair trial

The Nazis at Nuremberg were given a fair trial and had counsel representing them.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights of which Britain was a prime mover recognised the right to a Fair Trial as does the European Convention on Human Rights.

It is one of the cornerstones of a free society
