It’s actually pretty telling seeing various men who definitely knew who started making jokes the second it was safe to do so.

Also, the guardian really is just gonna style out that they routinely platformed Brand for decades?
Indeed. Such is the imbalance of power between the individual and the "media" and the legal system that 99% of people in the industry "know" but say nothing. If they do say anything they will get the Sadowitz treatment.

Can't verify which mag it came from but there was something else doing the rounds yesterday where Dannii Minogue explicitly said he "always went too far" and calling him out, which was reported so matter-of-factly with no further comment. Think it was the Metro celeb gossip section or something. Just all completely normalised.

Ah, wasn't hard to find as it goes:

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/r ... r-30960675

Was in the Mirror originally, who seem to be glossing over the fact they initially interviewed her and...that was that.

Wasn't Brand, at one time, considered by certain sections of the left to be one of the foremost radical thinkers of our time, with his whole ham-fisted, anarcho-commie shtick?

Ah yes, in 2015, readers of Prospect magazine voted Brand the fourth most significant thinker in the world, behind Thomas Piketty, Yanis Varoufakis and Naomi Klein. He also guest edited The New Statesman.

Fair enough.

What about Owen Jones? Is he left?

As I recall, Owen was a big fan of Brand, even when he knew enough of Brands issues to describe his attitude to women as “problematic”. I guess just not problematic enough, unlike plenty of people he has happily denounced.

Can’t believe you’re aligning with far right homophobes who are violent and abusive to Owen Jones

I bet there's loads of so-called lefties panicking as they cleanse their social media history right now.

Good point. You seem to be up to speed on social media etiquette and that. Can I ask if I should delete my tweet where I called Michael Gove a Walloper?

Get back to me ASAP before the ST gets on to it.

What’s the answer to the system that’s still in place and is protecting loads of scabs and will protect future scabs? It’s all well and good going after individuals to bring the failings to the fore but the focus has got to be on the system, right?

I reckon a search of past versions of the message board could also throw up some interesting results.

I reckon you’d be surprised. For example there were some boarders way ahead of their time in having enthusiasm for opportunities for girls to play football

Wonder who else won Dan Wooton's Shagger of The Year award and if they had better look over their shoulder.

The system has to be SMASHED. I don't even know why you need to ask this.

Meanwhile over at the centre of the system the BBC has launched an investigation. I bet when they called the person responsible for looking into stuff like this they said:

"which one have they dug out this time". Do you want the usual damage limitation and denials and reassurance that it will never happen again?"

Think a lot of people need to look over their shoulder where Wooton's concerned. What happened to all that anyway?
