We have Happe, Turns, Beckles
James & Brown can also play CB.

Just hope we get a FB, we need to ensure Galbraith can be utilised in CM and not FB or WB, so we can unleash him in CM with Sanders when fit and El Miz.

How are you lining up a midfield of Galbraith, Sanders and El Miz???

Brown doesn't deserve to be dropped.

We are not yet, agree Brown does not deserve to be dropped, but it would be nice to have the option of using Galbraith when required in his strongest position, and not used as a makeshift FB/WB this season if we dont have sufficient cover at FB.
That was my point.

My point would be that - on current form over the last couple of games, which I fully expect to continue - both Galbraith and Brown deserve to be starting. They're not all going to fit in midfield, so putting one of them in elsewhere - be it Brown at CB or, as we've seen lately, Galbraith at wingback/fullback - makes perfect sense. We don't have an urgent need for another CB or FB.

Correct me if I'm mistaken but - despite our injury crisis - we had Beckles and Hunt on the bench on Saturday (plus Moncur, Piggot and Pratley, with Sweeney in the stands). The panic for more bodies has somewhat died down.

Kelman to be announced tomorrow?

Changed his Facebook profile picture to one celebrating a goal in an O's shirt 10 hours ago. Not the sort of thing you do if you are a QPR player. Fans would take against that.

You'd think that's a sign a deal is imminent, else he's just outdone Orient Twitter Admin on the social media windup front

I don’t get why people are not happy with Kelman potentially coming back. He scored only 3 less than Smyth last season and people were distraught when he left for QPR.

I think Kelman was a great asset to the squad and played where ever RW asked him to play. I would welcome him back with open arms. Will be lovely to link him up with Ruel and the others.

Are you honestly comparing Kelman to Smyth?

On the plus side, his workrate second to none you know he'll run through brick walls for Wellens. Also think his finishing is good when he gets chances.

On the flip side not much physical presence, banking on Forde staying fit in that regard and need a lot more from Pigott as he gets fully match fit.

I think if Kelman gets service he will score goals. With Theo on one side and Jordan Graham on the other we looked far better on Saturday and more creative.

Agreed with that assessment.

Shaqford showed us on Saturday exactly what you need to play that role up top on your own.

That's assuming of course it is Kelman we're after . The club could throw us a curve ball and sign somebody we didn't think about .

I don't mind Kelman as a permanent signing, but don't see the value in a loan.

I am stating that the man scored 7 goals last season, compared to Smyth’s 10. I think that when he played he always seemed to give his all. He has pace, he can score and he appeared to be well liked and respected by the players and management. Overall I think he would be a great asset to the squad and as already stated I would
Like to see him back at E10

Smyth scored 10 goals from a wide position. Kelman was the main striker in a team that waltzed the league.

Yes, I agree he always gave his all, yes he is well liked by the players and management (and fans). He also looked like a proper finisher at the start of the season. He's a good kid, I'm not suggesting otherwise.

But he just doesn't do enough or have enough about him to trouble opposition defences. Shaqford is how I want to see my centre forwards play. Maybe I'm just being greedy in expecting another one of that quality to come in the building?

I generally 'get' Richie's decisions. Even ones I don't agree with, I understand. I just don't get this.

I get what you are saying and largely agree (although perhaps a bit early to judge Shaq as he may have given as much as he's got in his debut game) but we need all types of striker to be successful. Shaq was ideal for a soft Cambridge side and Charlie would be good at minimising Stevenage's defences ball time to aim their long balls. Even Charlie would accept he has to increase his goal ratio, but Ritchie must see that in him and we all trust his judgement. Lets see if it happens....

Yes you both have good points imo, as soon as you say something derogatory about a player on here people think your having a go, your not. All your doing is pointing out your personal opinion, Kelman as you rightly say is a very hard working young man but at this point has no what I would call six yard box anticipation. All good strikers have that”right time right place” about them. You can’t coach it(Lineker Shearer, Greaves,) I don’t think Kelman has that. He worries to much about the players marking him and not let them worry about him. Yes he’s hard working and runs and runs but so does Drinnan. Do we want two similar players in the squad?
I wouldn’t bet against Sadlier coming back???

I'd be surprised because if he gets a front man then Pigott will be the clever wide playing forward Wellens wants.

Actually, I thought we would have had all our transfer business done by now. We’re now cutting things a bit too finely.

This is very unlike Lingy. He normally likes to get everything wrapped up early doors.
