Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
Decent player would be happy to have him back. Not sure what more people would want from a signing at this stage given our spending elsewhere already.

Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
He was very much part of our success last season. His constant pressing, running and chasing enabled others to flourish
A welcome return if it happens

I’ll trust wellens judgment, if thinks the boy can do it at league one that’s fine with me, also wellens is not just thinking about this season he’s looking 2 to 3 down the line

Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
Because we need a goal scorer and the way we play didnt result in many goals for Charlie.
I like him actually, and think he has a lot of potential but he also looked lost in large portions of the season and his best attributes were wasted in our system. Maybe linking up with Pigott he will thrive.

Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
He's a trier and will certainly give a bit of energy though whether he's the answer to the step up in physicality we've encountered so far remains to be seen. At least it's another body through the door getting back to the kind of depth required.

Wait for the Wellens "he's not had much pre-season, we need to ease him in gradually" interview!

Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
I thought he was a very good prospect. Yes goal tally was a little low but only 3 less than Smyth. Has pace and a good first touch. I can’t see anything about him signing but would be very pleased to see him back.

Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
Def a player in there, I think we will see the best of Kelman this season, and now he is an Orient player we will reap the rewards.
Welcome onboard Charlie
Forward line improved this week
Still need a winger and a FB
But happy now Piggott has Shaq and Charlie to keep him company up top, let’s hope they stay injury free.
What type of injury did Shaq pick up in warm up last night?

The club needs to order Charlie to stay in bed for the rest of the week. The club must supply his food, delivered to him, in his bed, and maybe, just maybe he'll not get injured

Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
Sorry to disagree with you Stan but In my opinion we're crying out for a new CB. I don't think Beckles is going to cut it at League 1 level . Only three games into the new season and he's already gone AWOL.Stan1972 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 11:22 pm Def a player in there, I think we will see the best of Kelman this season, and now he is an Orient player we will reap the rewards.

Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
Yeah you’re right, we need help in defence for FB and CB, but if we only have budget left for 1 player, my pref would be for a FB who can also play CB.
James & Hunt need to know they can’t just turn up and get the shirt, they need to fight for it, and when they get it, they need to keep it.
But agree Beckles is in same position, he needs a kick up the arse, a wake up call.
Maybe he would have been dropped for next game if Happe wasn’t suspended

Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
If true? I don’t get this,he could hardly score in league two, didn’t score at all for QPR, they’ve played him this season had a look at him and decided to let him go. If he were that good they wouldn’t. And yet people are pleased we’ve possibly signed him? I agree with red we need a quality CB.

Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
On Sat we had Piggott as only forward, supported by Ruel, who I will openly admit I am not fan of, but fair play to him, he scored twice, and now we have Shaq Forde & Charlie Kelman to support Piggott & Ruel.
Forde is an unknown, but is a pacey No.9 who hopefully will come of the right and play off Piggott, and get in behind oppositions defences.
Kelman, I trust RW, and I do believe we will see the best of Charlie now he has signed for us.
In RW we trust
Once the coaches work on our defending and we can stem the flow of goals conceded, we will start climbing the table.
We’re a newly promoted club adjusting to L1, and the fixtures have not been kind like they have for Stevenage.
Keep the faith guys

Played in QPR's first game of the season so if that's trotted out it's BS.LittleMate wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 10:47 pm Wait for the Wellens "he's not had much pre-season, we need to ease him in gradually" interview!

Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
If Kelman has signed ( i hope so), then when Shaq is fit, I believe Pigott wont get much of a look in.
He doesnt fit in with RW style of play, and with 2 other strikers available, His chances will be resrtricted to off the bench minutes.
Im surprised Pigott was brought here TBH, in the first place

Re: Rumour: Kelman signs
I think Wellens wants him back for his pace and harassing defenders rather than just to score goals. I'm OK with this.
