Re: Paul Terry
They both got yellows during the game and both went up to the ref at the end. Terry was having some choice words and got a red then Richie went up and stood, taking the piss, about 5 yards away with his hands behind his back and started asking questions and the ref had enough.
Stupid from both of them, especially Richie, who I assume will miss Blackpool, his former team.

Even Wellens knows we’re going to get pumped by Blackpool so making sure he doesn’t have to be there to see it

At least they are showing a bit of passion. Refs are already exploiting these 'clamp down' rules and are taking the p**s. There needs to be a common ground.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 8:43 am Both need to grow up, what sort of example is that to the players.

Interesting that in his interview, Omar - with his PFA hat on - answers DD's question about the new "interpretations" saying that players were not asked for input before they were published

Re: Paul Terry
The way that officials are spoken to on the pitch is appalling, in no other sport can you behave like that. I'm glad that it's being clamped down on, hopefully a few weeks of finding out that on pitch words and actions have consequences will force players and staff to pipe down.Loyal_Supporter wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 9:22 amAt least they are showing a bit of passion. Keep the passion for the dressing room and the training ground. Never works out well to keep arguing with match officials.

Re: Paul Terry
Whenever we get a red card in a game Richie loses his sh*t. Last season it cost us a few times when that headloss clearly spread to the team and rather than being calm and professional we lost games. Can’t afford to do that in this league. If you’re asking the players to step up and give more, the staff and management need to up their professionalism

Re: Paul Terry
Perhaps time to put on his ''playing hat'' and concentrate more on his full time job on the pitch

Well said and 100% agree and also, what example is that setting to the players, especially the younger members of the team.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 9:45 am Whenever we get a red card in a game Richie loses his sh*t. Must be some kind of record......3 red cards to one team, in one match.
How many games will RW & PT be banned for?

his hands were behind his back because he was asking how Happe could be sent off for levering a player off the ball with his hands by his side.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 8:37 am They both got yellows during the game and both went up to the ref at the end. Re: Paul Terry
Both Richie & Paul will be able to go to Blackpool, but as I understand it, they will have to watch the game from the dressing room, they will not be allowed in the dugout or even the Stand.

Re: Paul Terry
Neither of those have done enough to warrant a second yellow or straight red as looked the case.
The ref has had a shocker there.

Re: Paul Terry
But putting yourself in the refs shoes, there probably wasn’t one thing they did that warranted a red card but if you’ve been hearing them for 90 mins and have told them you aren’t discussing it any more and they still chat away after the whistle, I can understand why the ref had enoughMax Fowler wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 10:48 am Neither of those have done enough to warrant a second yellow or straight red as looked the case.

Re: Paul Terry
It's ok to be annoyed about a decision but since when has continually shouting at the officials done any good? Sometimes they make mistakes and that will always be the case so what's the point in getting in their ear, childish.Petrov788 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 10:03 amhis hands were behind his back because he was asking how Happe could be sent off for levering a player off the ball with his hands by his side.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 8:37 am They both got yellows during the game and both went up to the ref at the end.
