Re: Signing
I didn't have any feelings about previous signings but I'm sort of getting a good vibe about this one, don't ask me why. The only little down is that he's only 19.
Re: Signing
Someone I know well whose whole family have been Watford supporters for years has said that Watford are so stupid to let him go. This was due to be his breakthrough year and I am assured that Shaq will be absolutely brilliant for us and will get a hatful of goals. The doomsayers can moan if they want but I'm going to go with my source. Can't wait to see him in an O's shirt

Re: Signing
My niece's partner, a York City fan, said this when I asked about Shaq's time with them 'he definitely made an impact when he joined! Made things happen! Way better than NL standard, but in a team that was shakily finding its feet having just been promoted. In a better NL team he would have scored way more than 9 goals'.

Re: Signing
That’s what I like to hear about any new Orient signing. Sounds like we’ve got the loan of a very good young player.Jeanluc wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 5:34 pm Someone I know well whose whole family have been Watford supporters for years has said that Watford are so stupid to let him go. Re: Signing
Let's hope he makes the same impact as this Arsenal loanee, from 2:24 onwards. Also a familiar face casually knocking one in.

Re: Signing
Kevin Campbell was only 19 when he was on loan and was brilliant.Story of O wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 4:54 pm Only 19 though. Would have liked someone a bit older and experienced , but hopefully he will do a job
Watched the highlights of York v Maidstone, he can play on the shoulder or come deep, has a good shot in both feet and looks hungry to score goals.
Could be the catalyst to get the season back on track.

Re: Signing
Good luck to Shaq. Has certainly got some very positive feedback from these various comments so let's hope he can make a big difference to us.

Re: Signing
I dare say that most likely that there may be a recall clause in his one year loan to the Os so that he can be called back to Watford if they run short of forwards. Let us hope he can give Os a boost up front and remember that playing in the EFL First Division is a big jump from playing on loan in the National League so fans should give this young player a chance to settle before coming to instant judgements as to his ability.Jeanluc wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 5:34 pm Someone I know well whose whole family have been Watford supporters for years has said that Watford are so stupid to let him go. Re: Signing
Yes we shouldn’t expect to much from the young lad, good to have a different offensive option, was getting to the point where we would have settled for Steven Hawkins as an alternative, be interesting to see if he starts?who Richie will drop. Going to put my money on Ruel if he does, but he may also start on the bench?Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2023 8:10 amI dare say that most likely that there may be a recall clause in his one year loan to the Os so that he can be called back to Watford if they run short of forwards.
