My plastic garden bin is probably better than either of those two , but agreed, Howes probably should have saved at least the first goal, but then he probably didn’t expect to be playing yesterday and isn’t League One standard.

Re: Sol Brynn
We had the best keeper in League two last season. We then lose Brynn on Friday. Bound to have a negative impact on the side, particularly our defence. A lot of things going against us currently but our luck will turn.

Re: Sol Brynn
Howes played to the best of his ability yesterday, if that isnt good enough, blame whoever signed him.
Howes can only do his best.
Personally, whilst he wasnt great, i didnt think he was as bad as some are suggesting

Re: Sol Brynn
I agree that he wasn’t too bad. However he has big shoes to fill and I think the loss of Brynn unsettled the side. Vigs wouldn’t have let that first goal in. It’s the difference at this level. That goal changes the game.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 9:48 am Howes played to the best of his ability yesterday, if that isnt good enough, blame whoever signed him.

Re: Sol Brynn
Second goal he could have done better with and he flipped at one cross . Apart from that I don't think he did anything wrong . The other three goals wasn't he's fault . However I fully agree we need another first choice keeper if Brynn is out injured long termMax Fowler wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 11:38 pm Howes has only come in as a bit of experience for the young goalkeepers, not to be our number 1. He's not a L1 standard keeper.

I'm not so sure but I think he would have definitely stopped the second which seemed to squeeze under Howes body and out of his graspDrWindy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 9:52 amI agree that he wasn’t too bad. Burnley have a decent keeper on their books, apparently. Maybe an emergency loan?EastDerehamO wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 7:49 amThat is a low bar indeed, but probably fair comment. We still need someone better though.

Re: Sol Brynn
I was riding my motorbike when I was a teenager and took a full on collision with a large dustmans lorry ( who was way over the wrong side of the road on a sharp bend in a country lane ) to break my foot and he did not even bother to stop ! Absolute agony and my foot blew up like a balloon, lucky I did not break my ankle or my leg ! My foot was in plaster for around 7 week, no special treatment and I was back playing football after around 3 months. Swelled up a lot for a while and hurt but nothing would stop me playing and took around a year before it was fully back to normal.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 6:03 pmI know 2 people who have done the same. If the recovery time is the same for Sol Brynn then we won't be seeing him again in an Orient shirt this season . We need a new keeper ASAP.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 6:45 pmI was riding my motorbike when I was a teenager and took a full on collision with a large dustmans lorry ( who was way over the wrong side of the road on a sharp bend in a country lane ) to break my foot and he did not even bother to stop ! This - but lets not stop it blaming the poor sod. We could have played him at full back yesterday and he may have defended better than Hunt.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 8:28 amI'll have to see it back, however the other goals he cant be blamed for.

Re: Sol Brynn
Yes but their are different levels of breaks. From what we are hearing, sounds like he twisted his foot when the damage was done, my broken foot was the result of a full impact of a lorry hitting me whilst traveling I guess around 30 mph and me doing much the same speed, so a total impact of around 60 mph around the same speed I Plus I had no special medical attention like he will get. No point guessing really as to when he will be fit to play again, every case is different and we dont really know how he did whatever he did, at present all rumour and speculation !RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 6:55 pmIf the recovery time is the same for Sol Brynn then we won't be seeing him again in an Orient shirt this season . Re: Sol Brynn
I think he could have done better with one of their goals, the rest not much chance plus looking at the YouTube match highlights, he did pull off one very good diving save to stop another goal going in.LittleMate wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2023 9:55 pmThis - but lets not stop it blaming the poor sod. It is Middlesbrough`s duty to help us. They should let their 3rd choice goalie join us on loan.
