Sounded grim. Sounded as though the goals were soft, plus a penalty but O's sounded as though they were lacking confidence, defence not solid at all and toothless going forward. Wycombe have had a bad start - maybe just a chance to get on the score sheet.

If you backed Beckles to score anytime in the game, I wonder if an OG counts 🤣

If you look at the stats, no way should we have lost 4-0 but after they scored the first they were in total control.

Moncur looked like he'd finally hit fitness at the end of last season, has he lost it already?

No great surprise about todays result, need two forwards in before Tuesday, no sick notes or players that haven’t played first team football Ling !!!

A pleasing result for ComeOnYouOs, gshaw, PoundhillO, Red Dwarf, chief crazy horse, BiggsyMalone, monkeyboy and cockhat.

They've all been waiting for a result like this for a long time, after all of them barely posted all of last season because the team was winning nearly every week and it badly damaged their egoS.

That's easy to say but where are you going to get two fully fit, decent forwards at this stage of the season?

I'm afraid the injury to Dan has put the mockers on our season, a club our size can't recover from losing their main striker just before the first ball has been kicked in anger.

He had a turn and shot in the first half which he didn't really strike properly and it went straight at the keeper.

He and Ruel were way too far away from Pigott to be effective at all, Richie has got to sort this out sharpish.

It’s very worrying at both ends.
Not just the lack of any attacking threat, no creativity in the team, or where the next goal is coming from.
For me an even bigger worry is the defensive problems we have.
L1 looks a step up to far for Sweeney & Hunt, they were awful.
I know Howes is back up GK, but if I am a defender I would not be confident with him behind me, looked very soft today.
El Miz was the only player who wanted it today.
I’m not bed wetting, as I know I will be accused of that as that’s all some people on here like to respond to posts like this.
I am very worried, as we are going straight back to L2 if changes are not made to this team and new players are not incoming.

Having been at Brizzie and watched the whole match, as opposed to some on here who watch the BBC text and/or listen to DD's commentary, there was some pretty decent play by most Os players today. If we had had Pompey's luck, it could have been 2-2 or 3-2 to either side. However, I have my concerns about Howes - seems to want to push the ball away/round the post rather than stop and hold it, but his kicking and throwing the ball out are good; Moncur still comes along in spurts, he's not in the game all the time; too many "Hamlet" moments from Omar and he and Happe have to speed up their ball play and running. Sanders, Turns and Graham all looked the business when they came on as subs. The jury is still out on whether Ruel can make a difference i.e. score a few at this level.

Charlton and Pompey will be in the top 7 at the end of the season, it's Tuesday against Wycombe and further matches against Cambridge, Stevenage and Blackpool when it will show how we will do in this League, IMO. If we don't get good results against them, well I don't know what is going to happen, but it won't be pleasant watching.
