There is a superinjunction reguarding this young womans peerage. The media are not even allowed to mention the existence of the superinjunction, let alone what its aboutLong slender neck wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 6:14 pmIt doesn't sound like she's done much apart from being a PA.Max Fowler wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 4:14 pmThere doesn't seem to be a lot of coverage of this in the media, which is really baffling.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 3:48 pm 30yo Blonde gets life peerage https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-66292492

Why the f is Farage the main story on the BBC website. Apparently, he’s calling for the whole Nat West Board to resign. Is that a story??

This, from UK Finance, should cheer you up. BTL mortgage arrears are showing a big increase for Q2. That's 41% greater than the previous quarter. Here it comes.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 1:07 pm
This may sound harsh but can I just say the BTL Brigade are amongst the most vile, sh*tty people on the planet.

Re: Tory Watch
I've always given the benefit of the doubt to Politicians I don't agree with. I liked to feel that they honestly had some belief that they were there to serve the public and although their views were different to mine, their life's experience gave them a different perspective. I thought people like Teresa May was a worthy ole bat, doing the best that she could etc.
But now, given the consequences of the Uxbridge election. I have greatly changed my point of view. Most of the Tories have found it expedient to abandon any Green policies at the drop of a hat, when there is whiff of a chance to hang on to power. Anyone who follows the Science, knows that the ULEZ policy is the sensible thing to do. Back tracking on electric cars. Investing in more Carbon fuels. P-ss poor infrastructure for charging electric cars.
I have just come back from 2 weeks in the Isle of Wight. I was quite surprised, that I saw little evidence of wind turbines: on land or in the sea. My brother has moaned about the Isle of Wight. He says that, too many oldies like me & him have retired there. They have loads of time on their hands, and have made a bit of a power grab on the Councils. Tourist facilities are sadly neglected. There are few jobs for youngsters. All decisions seem to be taken for the selfish few. Maybe the days of civic responsibility are over.

Yes, Theresa was lovely. Was it the vans with the go home immigrant placards that she put onto the streets of London that you liked best?

I didn't say I liked her Maxy. I said she is worthy. I have never, ever voted anything but Labour, but not so prejudiced against people that I can't see some good points. She probably believes most of what she says.

Re: Tory Watch
Do you think Suella - to pick a minister at random (and they don't get more random than she) - actually believes the stuff she comes out with, or do you think she just thinks that's what the target audience wants to hear and so it'll give them a chance?Friend or faux wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 4:26 pm I didn't say I liked her Maxy. Re: Tory Watch
I've mentioned this before, but I can vouch for Theresa May's genuine belief that the housing crisis is one the key policy areas that could make a difference to people's lives. And she supported the idea of building lots of proper social housing too. She just happened to be sh*t at everything else and her stint as PM came at the worst possible time.

Rubbish. Exactly the sort of person required to source arms for Ukraine in the International Arms Market. He has the ability to go undercover and use false identities and tell whopping great lies.

Re: Tory Watch
Liz Truss is actually trying to rehabilitate herself. Hilarious.
And in doing so is totally trashing the Tory's record of economic management these last thirteen years.

Christ, these people have absolutely no shame. I think, if I wiped billions of pounds off our economy overnight, I might consider effing off out of the public eye for at least 3 or 4 decades.
