Re: Southend FC
They do appear to be at final orders in the last chance saloon. I don't agree with those who say good riddance based on the actions or comments of a few idiots at some previous games. We all know how much the O's means to us. Imagine being in their position.
It's easy to say they could have done more, but who really did that much during the B*****i reign. Some did, but most hoped it would just work out.
I have no love for Southend the club, but I feel for their loyal fans who have been dragged through the wringer by a narcissistic chairman only interested in a final property-based pay day. We are so lucky to have the board we have (not this one, obvs!)

Re: Southend FC
I still haven't forgiven Southend for signing Richard Cadette for a joke of a transfer fee (2.5 k ??) in 1985. However, I certainly don't want to see them go out of existence. Their fans support their local club as opposed to Chelsea,Man City,Man Utd or some other nonsense. We should be standing up for them. Colchester United fans did themselves a huge of amount of credit when they supported the O's fans at Brisbane Rd in the last game under B******i and I think Sarfend fans deserve our support. I wouldn't feel the same way about West Ham but let's face it there are limits.

Barry Silkman was our player and Cadette's agent, he took Cadette with him to Southend, Don't like Silkman who maintains he done nothing wrong, As for Skumend let them die and fade away, can't stand them. Far more deserving teams around than that load of poo pooExiled O wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 10:15 pm I still haven't forgiven Southend for signing Richard Cadette for a joke of a transfer fee (2.5 k ??) in 1985. Re: Southend FC
When you say "them", did you speak to each one of their 7,000 supporters at length to confirm their delirious happiness, or are you just casting a wild generalisation based on a dozen apes on Twitter?ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 9:58 am
Unlike some here, I remember them being deliriously happy when we got relegated twice in 3 seasons, to non league,
My guess is the latter.

Re: Southend FC
Mmmm not really an answer that helps me, 'cause your thinkin' ain't on my level, I say it as I see it. Now a good football club to take Scumends place would be Bury or Torquay, it was criminal how Bury were treatedMax B Gold wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 11:15 amThe dangerously high level of IMBECILITY contained within it.

As I recall Bury massively overspent to attract players to climb the divisions.Type high wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 1:37 pmMmmm not really an answer that helps me, 'cause your thinkin' ain't on my level, I say it as I see it. Southend have a reckless owner who only has personal gain in minx. The sooner the community own the club the better it will be for everyone.

Re: Southend FC
Your are right about Bury, it was the Chairman and directors who massively overspent, Heart breaking for the supporters as they lost the towns football club, I think they have managed to buy the ground back, however, are a long way down the league pyramid, tore the heart out of the town. Wouldn't work at Scumend, the town hasn't had a heart since the late seventiesMax B Gold wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 1:40 pmAs I recall Bury massively overspent to attract players to climb the divisions.Type high wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 1:37 pmMmmm not really an answer that helps me, 'cause your thinkin' ain't on my level, I say it as I see it. Re: Southend FC
Can’t be arsed to read all this but anyone celebrating the potential demise of a small local football club is an arse - and relying on the actions of a minority of their fans behaviour when we were in the sh*t as some for of justification merely confirms your arse like mentality.
The loss of any football club such as SUFC is a tragedy for the loca community and its supporters. I hope they survive.

I totally agree and anyone who supports their demise is the “ scum “ and not the club.Admin wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 11:21 am Can’t be arsed to read all this but anyone celebrating the potential demise of a small local football club is an arse - and relying on the actions of a minority of their fans behaviour when we were in the sh*t as some for of justification merely confirms your arse like mentality.
