Smyth was the catalyst for us walking League 2. Created countless goals and scored some of the best goals seen from an Orient player in forever.

Just a thought... Laurie Cunningham only played 3 seasons for Orient and I'd say he was a club legend.

Really surprising that Alan Comfort could still play in any sort of football games at the age of 50 years old considering the terrible knee injury he got which lead to him having to retire from playing when in his prime !Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 9:34 pm Like for like though, the game is miles faster and more technical now and defenders are better. Smyth is probably better.
Saying that, when I was 30 a few years ago, playing right back in the fans v legends games, a 50 something comfort flew past me with ease. What an honour.

Re: Smyth to QPR
Good point. LC is obviously regarded as a club legend, but that's mainly because of what he went on to achieve after leaving us.
Alan Comfort played a dozen games in the old division 2 before hanging up his boots and becoming a homophobic man of the cloth.

He us a club legend because of his time here, the clue is in the word club. And the amount of seasons someone is at a club has no bearing, Peter Kitchen proves that.

Some fans think they know Football , Stats & other Fans memories show they know very little .Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 12:08 am4 assists in two seasons.
People suggesting Smyth is in the same league as Alan Comfort, either haven't seen Alan Comfort play, or have bad memories.
Smyth 14 goals in 2 seasons, Alan Comfort 46 goals in 4 seasons. Nuff said.

Some fans act like petulant kids because footballer left and didn't say nice things about former club.

They have a right to & He has a right to go where he wants. Claiming He is the best thing weve had forever shows an Immaturity beyond belief. Our Brilliant defence won us the league last year not some Injury prone showman .
