Not impressed. I’m not expecting anything from him.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 3:48 pm Bit underwhelmed but he did score 20 in league one 3 seasons ago and Richie is sure to get the most out of him. Can see us desperately signing a striker in Jan because we can’t score enough in the first few months

Have you considered wages? Once again loads of people judging him before he's even put on an O's shirt. Give the guy a bloody chance to prove you right at least!RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 4:09 pmConsidering the names mentioned he’s below par . Re: Joe Pigott
Goal every 2.5 games in terms of mins played at L1 level. Not bad.
Could be good if he gets the service. Problem last year was that our style of play did not offer a lot for a central striker. Lots of our goals came off the wings, long range wordlies, pens or oppo defensive calamities. Our game was all about possession and control kind of like a L2 Spain 2010.
Everyone slates Kelman but he pretty much matched his expected goals for last season from what I recall and didn't miss loads of chances. Just didn't get that many.
How this guy does really depends a lot on how or if our style of play changes much from last season when we can't boss games. Maybe this will give our strikers a bit of chance if they aren't against sat-in back lines most games.
Anyway lets give the bloke a warm welcome and a chance to show what he can do.

Re: Joe Pigott
Kelman was a funny one really, didn't get many chances but either scored or hit the post when he did.
Drinan on the other hand had numerous chances Kelman would've gobbled up but missed them all. Now whether that's just fluke of circumstance or his more physical presence helped create said opportunities is another matter.
What we need is someone getting on the end of those balls across the box Smyth used to put in but no one reacted to. Whether we still play that way with Agyei will be interesting to see as he seems like he would want to be on the end of those himself.

Scored a bundle of goals for a not very good side, then scored none for a good side.
Which will he be this season?
