Not just 1 No.9, we need 2 x New No.9
We need 1.

We have Ruel and Drinnan as cover.
That's the reason why we need two

Kelman needs replacing and we didn't replace Smith when we should've in January due to need for two CBs. We need one CB (Turns) but definitely need more attacking options as it looks really weak at present.

Totally agree.

Given there's a tendency amongst promoted teams to stick with the players who got them promoted, I've been impressed that we're not resting on our laurels. But we aren't going to sign 10 new players is one close season.

Most of the players who there are maybe question marks over at this level (James, Drinan, Ruel, Theo, Happe, Pratley) only have a year left on their deals. If any of them aren't up to it, they will be gone next year assuming we stay up. On paper we're in a good position for the step up, with the obvious caveat that it could go horribly wrong.
Agreed.

Would like the new winger to be a serious challenger to Theo and Agyei, so we have 3 genuine choices to pick the 2 wide men from. And if I'm being really picky, someone that can play as the 9 or the 10 as well to increase our options/fluidity.

Well we've still got one or two new strikers to sign yet so not a problem .

So if our New No.9 is not available for a period of games, you would be happy for Drinan or Ruel to be our No.9 starting L1 matches?

I've just listened to Richie's interview post the Charlton friendly and if I heard him correctly the club wants to bring in another CB.

How often have we heard similar comments over the years about young Orient players who play well in pre season and minor cup games, but who then gradually disappear or end up playing in non efl teams. Not many promising youth players make it regardless of whatever teams they play for. Let us hope that this young man manages to break through to play first team EFL football with the Os.

Yes think one or two forwards, Smith or Bonne would be good possibly a loan forward to make up the two and a decent CB🙊

Yet another player, promising when young, but so far not come up to early expectations. Has had chances at many clubs including Manchester City and Liverpool.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Dun ... born_2001)
Bobby Duncan (born 26 June 2001) is an English professional footballer who plays for Spanish club Linense, as a striker.
Early and personal life
Duncan was born in Whiston and raised in Prescot.[2] He attended Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School and St Bede's College.
He is a cousin of Steven Gerrard.[3][4] He is a lifelong Liverpool fan.
Club career
Duncan began his career with Mossley Hill, St Helens Town, Wigan Athletic and Manchester City.
He left Manchester City in August 2017, and spent a year without a club as they retained his registration, before signing a three-year professional contract with Liverpool in 2018.[2] He was part of the side that won the 2018–19 FA Youth Cup, Liverpool's fourth triumph in the competition, scoring a late equaliser in the final against his former team Manchester City.
He made his senior debut for Liverpool in a pre-season friendly against Tranmere Rovers in July 2019, scoring the final goal in a 6–0 win.
In August 2019 he was linked with a move away from the club, and his family accused Liverpool of "bullying", which the club denied.[3] He later expressed regret about how he had left Liverpool.
In September 2019 he signed for Italian club Fiorentina.[10] He returned to England in September 2020, signing a three-year contract with Derby County.] He made his senior debut on 9 January 2021, in a 2–0 FA Cup loss away at non-league club Chorley.[12][13] At the start of the 2021–22 season he trained with Plymouth Argyle, although the clubs could not agree terms for a loan move.

In July 2022 he signed for Spanish club Linense.
International career
He has represented England at under-16 and under-17 youth level

He was anonymous yesterday and when he did have the ball he did nothing with it.
Worth another look, but wouldn’t be surprised if we have seen the last of him.

Seems to have been at many football clubs but no lasting impact so far.
Showed a lot of talent when young, might come good one day ?

Rather than like some on here mocking one of our own players, I'm inclined to take more of a positive view that Drinan scored at the valley a few days ago. (And by all accounts quite a good goal.) A positive view in as much that I'm hoping this might be a sign that he can recapture his form from a few seasons back. Maybe he can make a contribution in league one. One things for sure he will be giving 100% so good luck Aaron and do it for the O's !

It will be either McCauley Bonne or Sam Smith . It would be lovely to sign both but we'll see. There could also be another CB coming in
