Re: The Circus Upstairs
It seemed like a living nightmare at the time, and looking back they were dark days indeed.
The day the club was sold it felt like the Messiah had replaced the Devil – and we’ve been in wonderful hands ever since.
Getting back into the EFL in two seasons was a major achievement given where we were.

Do you remember the clowns on here that used to defend Bechetti and his henchmen right up until the bitter end?

Some that try now to make out they were instrumental in chasing him off were also very late in joining that party.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 9:50 pm Do you remember the clowns on here that used to defend Bechetti and his henchmen right up until the bitter end?

Re: The Circus Upstairs
There was a Facebook group created that supported him. It's still going, but little is said about its shady past. Some bloke called Gold I seem to remember was behind it.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 9:50 pm Do you remember the clowns on here that used to defend Bechetti and his henchmen right up until the bitter end?

All I know is Bullshitt was given 15 years and his mother 8 years in their absence. If he ever steps foot in the wrong country then he's behind bars .Lifelongfan wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 9:40 pmWas it not all a political conviction? His tv channel was anti Govt? So he is safe in the UK then as I've seen him a few times. Suspect Albania is the only place he would be arrested inRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 12:01 pmAll I know is Bullshitt was given 15 years and his mother 8 years in their absence. Caught up with this yesterday, great stuff. It certainly was an interesting time to support the Orient and makes today's stability a bit boring. Looking forward to the next episodes.

Unfortunately yes . Albania did try to have him extradited but our courts refused due to Albania’s poor human rights.

Re: The Circus Upstairs
I regard it now as just another chapter in the club’s history which is now all thankfully behind us .

Re: The Circus Upstairs
Now that Cruella Braverman is determined to crash us out of the ECHR does that mean we can ignore all that namby pamby woke human rights stuff and just chuck him on a plane to Albania via Rwanda?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 7:57 amaylesburyos wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 1:25 pmSo he is safe in the UK then as I've seen him a few times. Re: The Circus Upstairs
We're in a far better place now . Do we really need to be reminded of those dark days under Beelzebub . I know its a chapter in the clubs history but I'd rather try to forget now .

You've got to educate people on history to stop bad things happening again! Ive enjoyed it so far.

Re: The Circus Upstairs
Been enjoying this, just proves it was even more crazy than we even suspected at the time.
However... if you're reading this Matt Simpson how could you do a section on Plasmati and not describe his majestic volley from the halfway line that didn't even reach the goal line?! That was a thing of such ineptitude it was actually beautiful.
Please add as a bonus feature, I want to hear it described in all its lyrical metaphorical glory.
I still say it's a shame Beelzebub couldn't reign his ego in. Had he just provided the (sizeable) funds and let rational sane people handle the rest he would've got exactly the adulation it appears he wanted the whole time.
