Anything new around the ground?

Post by Rich Tea Wellin »

Thought the club were saying there were loads of new and improved things to make the match day experience better?

In the west stand there was the same menu. The only difference being one thing wasn’t available any more and someone had stuck a bit of paper of the word Heineken and put Orient lager in it. There was also a mobile beer pump stuck (that wasn’t working) in the way which made it even harder to get to the toilet.

Programme was designed differently but seemed slimmer.

Anything else?

New club shop basically same as before but with a hole punched through the wall.

Was going to buy a shirt pre game but far too hot in there so walked straight out.

I went in there early and it did look a bit better but went in there again at about 2 and you’re right, it was about 100 degrees.

Also, the shirt usually looks better in the flesh but it’s absolutely rank, especially on some of our wider fans.

And we do have a lot of wider fans!

I actually thought the red looked nicer in the flesh. Still prefer the blue though. May wait now to see what the third kit is like as I can't get to another game til September now.

Thought they weren't the advised option any more due to kids locking themselves in, people collapsing, panic attacks, failing ill, or other such negative aliments in the toilet and no-one would know.

No toilets on one side of the south. Turns out doping controls were using them after the game. Brophy and Wilkinson went in

After a hot day like today they’re probably still waiting to pee now!

Tv monitors with advertising in the shop.

O’s lager in the LL - tasted ok too.

Not the usual stewards on the main entrance or LL doors

Better looking ‘chef’ serving the food at LL bar.

Milk portions not a jug for teas and coffees

👍😀

The free HT Tea and Coffee in the LL was more plentiful today with a small plate of biscuits as well.
It was also spread over two tables which is a good idea, with as mentioned above, Milk capsules rather than a jug of Milk.
Hope this continues through the season.

They had a new beer on pump at Technical, Orient Pale. Pretty decent, hopefully they have some beer mats in weeks to come.

£3.50! In the Technical?

Was that for the pork scratchings?

I didn't see anything new, unless you can count the small club shop in east stand being closed or the small bar in the east stand also closed.
