Yes please, pick two from Archibald, Agyei and McKirdy each game would be a nice strong combination

Re: Harry McKirdy
He’s not our first choice, but he might become it after today.
Also: does he play the hurdy-gurdy?

Exactly RedDwarf, What is wrong for wishing LittleMate?
Or would you sooner opt for Drinan as our No.9 next season
I was hoping and wishing we would sign Agyei, didn’t think we would get him, but we did

Unrealistic expectations. With our budgets we could not afford Agyei, McKirdy and Armstrong IMO.Stan1972 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 02, 2023 12:31 pmExactly RedDwarf, What is wrong for wishing LittleMate?

FWIW MvKirdy could well prove to be a disruptor, like Harry Smith was. Wellens got him playing well at Swindon, but we don't know to what cost?

Why would you think McKirdy would be a disruptor?
Not saying we should get McKirdy and Armstrong
Either one, and my preference would be for Armstrong
Neither player is unrealistic.

Vigs, Smyth, Clay, Smith all gone big earners plus an extra player's worth of wages from Georgiou (easiest wages ever for him lol)
We've gone up a level, the squad quality and depth has to do the same in order to stay there and kick on. Still a good 5+ players required yet and in key areas too.

Re: Harry McKirdy
1. McKirdy didn’t play under Wellens at Swindon. Richie left Swindon in 2020, McKirdy didn’t arrive until 2021.
2. Is McKirdy actually that good? Hasn’t scored a single goal for Hibs. He had one good season for Swindon in 21-22 but before that was a flop at Newport, Crewe and Carlisle. All in league 2 as well (including Swindon)
3. He’s an utter fanny both on and off the pitch. Petulant on the field and a complete pillock on social media. Now obviously I’m making assumptions here but this suggests to me that he’s an ars* and not a good person to have in the changing room. I remember he turned into a complete brat when we spanked Swindon at home a couple seasons back. He was eventually hooked after picking up a yellow for dissent.
All in all, not sure he would be a particularly good signing. Although he does have excellent vision and movement. A real menace in the box when he’s not being a whinging bell end.

Re: Harry McKirdy
Harry McKirdy’s proposed move away from Hibernian to either Colchester United or Leyton Orient has collapsed after the forward picked up an injury which will require surgery and see him ruled out for 4-6 months, sources have informed The Real EFL.
McKirdy was in advanced talks with Leyton Orient, having decided to join the League One outfit over a reunion with his former manager Ben Garner at Colchester United. Upon returning for pre-season a scan revealed an issue which required the attention of a specialist, upon assessment it was decided that the 26-year-old would need to have surgery next week on the issue. This will rule him out until approximately November meaning a move this window cannot materialise.

Re: Harry McKirdy
Yep and unfit . He will be half a season behind on his match fitness . We'll need to change our attention to another winger instead .

Re: Harry McKirdy
He will be back in November, 2 months to get fit, he will be a good addition to the squad in January, we can sign someone a winger now as well. If he’s not fit we don’t sign himRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 2:24 pmYep and unfit . He will be half a season behind on his match fitness .
