Re: It appears
Not sure what difference you think the 1st July makes? Our out on contracts players could still resign after July 1st. I accept that we will stop paying them at that date, so they might be more inclined to make their mind up. The agreed date to make their mind up passed some while back.

Re: It appears
Ridiculous. If the non contract players are still not making their mind up, after 1st July, does that mean we will still hang on to see what they do?
If they can't decide by say 20th July, will we still wait?
By the time they finally decide, if it's too go, we won't get anyone else, they'll be no one left.
Why give them an initial 28 days to make their mind up?
We need to forget them and get on with it now. They're proper taking the pi55

Yup, they've had their deadlines and aren't committed to the club, time to move onComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 7:18 pm Ridiculous. If the non contract players are still not making their mind up, after 1st July, does that mean we will still hang on to see what they do?

Why is it when someone guesses at situations people rise to the bait as though it’s a statement by the club

We don't given then 28 days, its the "rules". Presumably agreed between the FA/football league and the PFA. All clubs give players 28 days.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 7:18 pm Ridiculous. As for the rest of your rant, it ain't even worth commenting on because it would be falling on deaf ears and blind eyes.

Re: It appears
I agree . They have had long enough now and still haven’t signed yet so get rid . If they want to leave that’s perfectly fine . Just tell the club and leave so Orient can move on and sign replacements .ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 7:18 pm Ridiculous. Re: It appears
Just as Vigs and Smyth haven’t been revealed and maybe not until 1st July will they, maybe we will have an influx of players on the same date?

Re: It appears
The club has had a fair idea who will sign and who will not for a few weeks, if you are expecting an influx of new players all at once I think your sadly mistaken that’s not the way the club works unfortunately.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 8:44 pmI agree . Re: It appears
The question is how long do we give these players ?!
It seems like Smyth will probably move on, and who can blame him, probably trebling his wages………and we know Vigs has gone.
I’m surprised that players like Dan Happe and Jayden Sweeney haven’t signed as yet, having come through from the Youth system and are probably Orient through and through, but the club can’t wait for too much longer, I would think.

We know that Vigs and Smyth have gone . It's also a fact that Sweeney and Happe haven't re-signed yet . It's also a fact that after all this time without a decision it shows a lack of commitment to the club . Its now time to get rid of them both and move on to sign their replacements .B.whitehouse+10more wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 8:33 pm Why is it when someone guesses at situations people rise to the bait as though it’s a statement by the club

Re: It appears
How can it be a statement when it offers opinions? I'd say something that starts with the word ridiculous and then tells the players they are taking the piss and that the club should forget them - whilst not even knowing the 28 day rule - must be something of a rant..Chief crazy horse wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 8:54 amRant ? What is genuinely sad: being so constantly angry, anxious and angsty that you can hardly enjoy the experience of being an Orient fan. Relax and try to enjoy it FFS.

Re: It appears
But it's not really an opinion, is it ? What's being said, in a nutshell, is that two or three players have been hanging out to see if a bigger club comes in for them. Fans, are quite rightly, showing a bit of frustration as regards to loyalty and leaving everything up in the air. I don't see anything wrong there. As for the turning of the word 'ridiculous' into being that of a rant is laughable.LittleMate wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 9:50 amHow can it be a statement when it offers opinions? “Fans are quite rightly showing a bit of frustration as to loyalty”
What is “quite right” about getting disproportionately angry about young men with a short career, at which they’ve worked extremely hard, utilising their contractual terms in the hope of progressing their careers?
Can you, perhaps point me to an example of a post of yours from the past where you have called for the club to be loyal to a player whose performances are consistently below the level you’d expect?

Re: It appears
It seems like you're reading too much into this just for the sake of an argument. 'Fans are showing frustration' - that's all, nothing more nothing less.
And what's more, I wouldn't give it a seconds thought about digging out an old post about loyalty - even if there was one.
