The players wanted in the window changed after the Northampton game where we lost 2 strong centre half’s and a suspension. The 2 brought in cost part of the tight budget we always seem to have in January. Lydon was cheap as he had no club at the time. My way of thinking is were in such a strong position in the league that the board should have said let’s spend good money on bringing in RW first choices to get us over the line. Look at Gillingham Bradford and Colchester who all acted at the start of the window to make sure they got in first but probably cost them dearly. We are now faced with Brown out for 6 weeks. Moncur not fit. Smythe pulling out in warm ups. Ogie out for another month. Drinan May be returning next week. Both full backs not playing well .This can only happen to Orient. We May have a rich board but it is obvious to me we don’t seem to compete in the transfer marketPoundhillO wrote: ↑Sat Jan 28, 2023 6:08 pm Something is very wrong, I wonder if the club didn’t allow RW to go for his first choice players but only agreed to second or third choice cheapo options. The whole transfer is so slow a snail could sign someone decent before us.

Re: Has RW lost the plot
I think the problem is he has his players and won't deviate, so no matter what some players do they won't start ie Thompson, Clay last two games and so forth, if the results don't start coming can see quite a few getting demoralised

Re: Has RW lost the plot
To me it feels like we have gone back in the recruitment process after all that hard work last season where have we gone wrong it’s the people in the background that’s letting us down but hopefully we will sort this out and sign someone soon

Re: Has RW lost the plot
So please explain who these people in the background are, so the people in the fore ground can get rid of them, and sign all those players we want before Stevenage get them all , like Bradford did last year
PS Bradford are looking forward to playing Wrexham this year (MH connection)

You can't say that yet until we see who we sign . What I will say is though it's disappointing that our out of contract players haven't re-signed yet because they have had long enough to decide one way or another .

Don’t have to name names, if you read thru the posts, it’s clear to see who the bedwetters are…

Re: Has RW lost the plot
There’s plenty of time for signings from outside of the club………I think there will be literally hundreds of players released or available over the Summer and it’s important that we get the right players in even if it means waiting until August for them.
What’s a little concerning is the players who were here last season and have been offered terms but little sign of them signing.
If Vigs goes to Burnley then I think even the Bedwetters will accept it and wish him luck, I know I would……..but fans would be less happy if they joined another similar size L1 or 2 club.

Any bigger L1 side or above would be a substantial wage increase plus a signing on fee so would be more surprised if he stays at this point.Cheshunto wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2023 6:24 pmThere’s plenty of time for signings from outside of the club………I think there will be literally hundreds of players released or available over the Summer and it’s important that we get the right players in even if it means waiting until August for them.

We do, however need a keeper by the first pre-season game else we'll have to get Simon Royce signed up to do a Dean Brill and start playing again

Re: Has RW lost the plot
I'm happy enough to be patient for any new signings . I appreciate the club might need to wait for the right players to come along and that's OK . However it's irritating that our out or contract players haven't re-signed yet or left . How much more time do they need ?
