Re: Anyone else feel
Nobody really knows what’s going on as the club has been keeping there cards close to it’s chest but I would have thought the fact we got promoted so early should have got us a start on other clubs? I really hope that opportunity hasn’t been wasted

Any more want to get on board for the doom mongers bus. It broke down last season but looks like they've managed to get it started again.....
I mean how dare the players take their time in a decision that will impact theirs and their family's future, when there's a few web-saps mewling on the internet for immediate information..
LOFC is a business. As employees of that business (and that's all they are) the players have every right to hedge their bets. Anyone saying they wouldn't do the same in their line of work is lying.
To all those grinding with impatient entitlement. Get a life. Football season is over. It's a beautiful day. Start a relationship with a man, woman, animal, or plant. Don't let this get you down any more than it already has!........

Re: Anyone else feel
One of the reasons he left Swindon was that they could not keep the main players that got them promotion. Money talks and it might be that players he has put forward to Ling we cannot afford in this league.Don’t be surprised if RW ambitions don’t match Orients and off he goes.

Re: Anyone else feel
I'd be VERY surprised if he left under such a circumstance since budgets were agreed when he signed his new deal in c.Feb and the board would not want to lose him for reneging on that deal. They lose enough money as it is!moonwalk19 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 15, 2023 1:26 pmOne of the reasons he left Swindon was that they could not keep the main players that got them promotion. They won us the league and in some style too, what they do going forward can't sour that
(unless they go full Jamie Jones on us obviously...)

By the end of next week the picture should be somewhat clearer, too early to panic yet.

Re: Anyone else feel
Most players in football clubs will have a hard look at all the various job offers they receive when their contracts end. Wise and prudent thing to weigh up all the options before they put pen to paper to work for another two or three years at any one particular football club, after all, its a short lived career for most footballers so they have to make the most of it while they still have the chance to do so.Scuba Diver wrote: ↑Thu Jun 15, 2023 1:25 pmAgreed.LittleMate wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 10:34 pm Que Sera sera....

Need to weigh up the pro's and con's. Nearly all the jobs I left were because I was unhappy, none for more money and in one case took less though the BT pension scheme was a plus. Lot of jobs over 40 odd years.

Re: Anyone else feel
I wonder if football clubs offer any sort of pension schemes as part of the financial package that they offer to the players.WilliamTell wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2023 4:53 pm Need to weigh up the pro's and con's.
