Re: Dean Brill contract extension
Worth doing. He'll be a good backup in the final year of the contract.

Not mad on it. Think he’ll get found out this year a bit. Would be up for Sarge having a shot personally.

Let less goals in than any keeper in the Championship, L1, L2 and National League. Can't please some peopleApple Wumble wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 10:05 pm Not mad on it. Think he’ll get found out this year a bit. Would be up for Sarge having a shot personally.

What’s his record in the NL last season got to do with his record in league two this season?jamespevans wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 12:31 amLet less goals in than any keeper in the Championship, L1, L2 and National League. As I say, I think he’ll struggle a bit this year but only time will tell.

This is good news. His wife should bake him his favourite cake to celebrate.

Happy with that. His experience will be useful in L2, a steady and reliable keeper and well worth his place. Would expect Sargeant to either show some quality or be replaced at some point. I hope he shows the quality we need and fights hard for the starting slot at some point. The position is his for the taking in the future if he can step up.

Re: Dean Brill contract extension
When I've watched him, he is the captain of the back line, non-stop shouting, organising etc, if you lose him you need someone else to step up into that role. From what I've seen as a keeper he looks fine, nothing special but not a blunder a minute.
