On the other board it's just been posted that Vigoroux may be on his way to Charlton, make of it what you will

That would be very disappointing . Maybe we should up our offer .

Re: Saturday is DDay for out of contract players
I think Charlton are in the position to pay their players far in excess than we can . We just have to look how much they were paying Bonne when he left QPR. We spoke to Bonne at the time only to find they were paying him nearly 3 times our limit. We cannot compete with them .RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 11:20 pmThat would be very disappointing . Maybe we should up our offer .

That's fair enough but even with such a big wage bill they could only finish 10th last season .moonwalk19 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2023 11:35 pmI think Charlton are in the position to pay their players far in excess than we can . Re: Saturday is DDay for out of contract players
Vigs has wanted to leave Leyton Orient for a while. Last time his contract was up, he didnt sign until the last min, presumably because he was looking for another club.
He was dropping hints at the end of last season, that he was going, so we will be getting a new keeper in the building.
Im sure the club have half expected it anyway, and have been looking at potential keepers for a few months

They can sign after Saturday though we could withdraw the contract at at that time if we wanted

While that's true I don't think it will come to that . I think the club will know for sure tomorrow one way or another .Lifelongfan wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2023 9:52 am They can sign after Saturday though we could withdraw the contract at at that time if we wanted

I don't think so.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2023 9:59 amWhile that's true I don't think it will come to that . The good news is none of them have been confirmed as signing for anyone else yet. I'd hope that Ling has learnt from his balls up with Ebou, and if the players haven't signed by Saturday, we leave the offers on the table for now but start ramping up the discussions with others we have hopefully been having...

Re: Saturday is DDay for out of contract players
Not sure if this has been said yet but I feel as though players like Vigs and Happe have earned a move higher up- obviously would be sad to see them go but would completely understand

I understand if it was a top tier league 1 side - Debry, Portsmouth etc or a championship teamorient4life wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2023 10:49 am Not sure if this has been said yet but I feel as though players like Vigs and Happe have earned a move higher up- obviously would be sad to see them go but would completely understand
Re: Saturday is DDay for out of contract players
In spite of the non signings, nobody on this MB appears to have heard any rumours of offers/ transfers etc, apart from Vigs. Maybe they're not getting the offers?

Good goalkeepers are ten a penny. I understand Jamie Jones may be available.

I understand your concerns Ronnie but isn't everyone entitled to a second chance?BIGRON wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2023 11:10 amI'd rather have Vinnie Jones and I ain't joking !Max B Gold wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2023 11:05 amGood goalkeepers are ten a penny. I understand Jamie Jones may be available.
