Given his positive influence and presence at the club I don't see much wrong with giving him a contract. However it's incredibly naive to not get adequate cover in knowing Jobi might be suffering for his efforts at the tail end of last season. And no, before any of the usual suspects start, 3 CMs is not adequate cover.

I don't believe the management are being naiive at all. It could be the case that they are waiting for the right player to become available. I'll be concerned if come the close of the window we don't have another Central Midfielder. We all know we are light in that area, the men in charge will know that. I'm confident they'll get someone in.

As proved by the Dennis signing, they were waiting for their first choice rather than settling for a less player.
