Couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo when he was on loan to us , sold to Portsmouth for 2 million today 🤔🤔

Maybe the problem was asking him to hit a cow’s arse from stuck out on the right wing.

I think it was Ollie Palmer who was preferred up top at that point.

Exactly this, why sign a striker to play out wide. Seemed bizarre at the time and proven so since.

True this - if we really are pursuing him. Sadly we didn’t give Marquis a decent chance with us - like many other loanees.
He’s proved himself at this level with other clubs.

Marquis was played out of position on the wing. To be fair, some players do turn their careers around with a change of club, etc, its how it goes. AS I recall he did not cut the mustard either at his own club of Millwall and I think If i remember right, that when he came to the Os, he came with a record of getting rather too many yellow and red cards ?
Of course I stand corrected if I am wrong on that last point !!
