Nobody

Good, old fashioned, shoot/f*ck 'em up thriller.

We binged on the miniseries Black Bird last week - thought it was really very good and the 2 leads, Taron Egerton and Paul Walter Hauser were superb - really really great acting - also, I think, Ray Liotta's last outing - again, a lovely performance.

The first two seasons are cack, full of typical tropes used by studios in a ham-fisted attempt to appeal to what they think "modern audiences" want while avoiding the hard work of proper plot and character writing. But for season 3 they appear to have had an epiphany and though, "f*ck it, let's make something that is actually good!"

And they have. It's only 3 episodes on so far, but it's like proper Star Trek. And you can pretty much watch it without having to watch the first two seasons (although you may well enjoy those if that's your thing).
^For those of you who enjoyed the TNG series back in the day, this is definitely worth watching. Episodes 7 and 8 went off the boil a bit, but episode 9 was something else. If you absolutely have to cynically exploit fandom nostalgia, then that was an excellent example of how to do it right.

Is he still pre-grief or is it time for him to get Kendal's grief guy?

Enjoyed watching The Resort on Now TV. Just 8 short, around 30 min, episodes. Not too taxing but kept me engaged throughout. Likeable characters too.

That episode is one of the greatest 30 mins of recent TV, imo.

Agree. It’s kind of jaw dropping how they just lean right into it from the moment she goes on all fours and hisses. And the scene in the car before the drugstore is just perfect

Really enjoyed S1 of Barry, need to watch the rest at some point.

Now MAFS is over (stoked for Melinda and Layton), trying Colin from Accounts. Promising first ep.

I watched Irvine Welsh's "Crime" the other week. The Bill it is not and it was a bit rubbish but I was impressed by the Begby like detective.

It looks like Roman is out of the running. I'm wondering if Kendalls secret could still come back to haunt him?

Rain dogs - about halfway through but incredibly dark and depressing but slightly addictive and brilliantly acted.

Jury Duty - mad idea but brilliant and easy tv. The last episode is phenomenal.

The Last King of the Cross on Sky, marvellously brutal. The Aussies do some good stuff like The 12 and Jack Irish (I wanna be one of the bar blokes….) but the shows and films show they have a comparatively small pool of Actors.

How many of our dramas have you watched? Martin Compston, Siobahn Finneran, Lee Ingelby and Nicola Walker pop up in every second series.

Oh and Keeley Hawes too.
